I agree. I dont trust a refurbished console, thats why I just bought a brand new one.

The console they send you should be fixed of the red ring of death error. However, I did recieve a refurbished console that initially worked great but ended up giving me the red ring of death error a year later. You are covered for 3 years after your purchase of your XBOX console for the red ring of death error. To answer your other question, you recieve a 90 warranty after they ship your new console out to you.

is this not just a issue with ur AV cable, shud buy or try another before sending it off djrobst

I am on my 4th 360 since LAUNCH.. I dont deal with MS, I take mine back to bestbuy and pay for a new warranty...you get a new one for basically 18 bucks... I am on a FALCON chipset ... supposedly new design.. Hope it does not break soon..... It does run 1/2 as cool as the Older Model LOL.... I LOVE THIS SYSTEM THATS THE ONLY REASON I STILL PLAY AND PUT UP WITH THE HASSLE!!NND1

When they get yours they automatically send you whatever they have available. I got one that had a manufacture date of 06/26/2008 so I'm guessing it has the new chipset. But you never really know.

if this is true how come i got charged to get my fixed? it wasnt even a year ago i sent mine in for its first RROD now im getting the system error with the 1 red light and their saying i have to pay 100$ to get it fixed. WTF?

you dont trust the company that made it to be able to repair it? so you are going to spend $400 when you coud get one for free? thats pretty dumb.

The warrenty is one year if you pay the repair cost and 90 days if they fix it under warrenty. I found this out the hard way when my refurb that was given to me to replace my launch box died after 4 months. I am now waiting for its return from the repair center.

If your xbox dies after say, 2 days of owning it they will fix it for free but the one refub they will give you only will have a 90 day warranty. I had a long argument with them on this point being absurd since I had nothing but problems with my reburb I got from them. This is only for everything BUT the RROD.
