and you cant do it until you get to the end after all the rings and activated the thing after all the rings, then the flood turn on you. you need to kill them all. then you after they all dead its just about the end of the level. after they turn on you and you kill them all thats when you can do the ring. also you have to start from begginging of the level like this bloke says also. I did it before I killed the Prophet.
I'm not sure you hear a sound, just that the skull appears.
Don't think thats possible as the skull appears on the bridge activated by going to the prophet unless I am mistaken haven't done it in a while...
Like everyone else just jump thru the rings in the correct order jumping into and thru the entire without touching the ring itself, always start at the beginning of the level kill the prophet and flood off first, skulls don't matter whether they are on or not and it should work. I have done this many times now, same method and all for myself and 5 or 6 of my friends so I know it works.
Check some youtube vids to see how to jump thru the rings correctly if it is causing you trouble.
It doesn't go on the bridge. I'm pretty sure it goes on the walkway that brings you to the bridge. It's just easier to do without the flood killing you.
