Seriously MS?

So i came home all excited to download the crysis 2 demo and for my surprise live would not let me download it.

Why? Because i m not a paying member :|:|:|:|:|

How can they even get away with this? Arent demos supposted to be free?

If they thought that was a good idea to make people pay for life then forget about it, i m NOT paying for live ever again.

This is just un ethical and i cant even erease my credit card info from the system wtf?

Demos are free, for paying members. How can they get away with it? Simple, it's called supply and demand, they have supplied a product and service in which millions enjoy and are willing to pay for. There is nothing unethical about what they do, it's simply a business decision and you have no obligation to pay. There are other platforms for you to choose from if it's really that much to your dis-liking.

The Crysis 2 demo is a multiplayer demo, to play multiplayer games you require a paid membership – that is why you can't download it. What's better: The way they're doing it now, or letting you download the demo and then smacking you in the face saying you can't play it?

Easy, it's called paying for services

You have an interesting viewpoint, after you typed this up did you have this conversation with your cable provider.....

"Hey, I want to watch a movie from HBO on demand but it says I can't unless I subscribe to the channel for a fee"

"well yes sir that's how it works"

"But it says HBO demand has movies with no rental charges ready whenever I want"

"For a fee sir"

"So you expect I pay you for life?"

Because that's how you're looking here. You refuse to pay for a service then you don't get all the benefits of that service.

Yeah, I'm sometimes irritated by their gold exclusive demos as well. But, LIVE is so freakin' cheap and it offers so much that I really can't complain.
