So playing my xbox 360 has come to being a chore........My NAT: Open, and like when I sit in chat or play any game it randomly decides to completely disconnect me from Xbox Live? and I have to reset modem etc, although clearly my net is working on everything else (lol obviously since I can post this)!

Any ideas, or live just having problems?

Any help?

I take it you've tried this as getting an open NAT sometimes requires it, but have you enabled UPnP?

It could be the router. I suddenly started having NAT issues with XBox Live shortly before my router up and died competely. That was first, then I had to reset it some to get interent to work right on the computer, then it died. So, I replaced it and everything was great.

Well, I'm no Net expert so I can only offer average advice but are you on a wireless or wired connection.

Problems like yours usually only happen on a wireless connection so I assume that's what you're using.

You should try hard-wiring it if it's at all possible. If not, move the Xbox and/or router closer together and put as few walls and obstructions in the way that could interfere with the signal.

That's all I got man, sorry if it's no use. :(

How old are your modem and router? If your modem is more than 5 yrs old, it could be outdated and that would cause it to be kicked offline. I had this problem w/a 6 year old Motorola Surfboard Try calling your service provider and have them run a test on your connection.

It's your router.... that your Net works on your PC without any problems... doesnt mean its XBL fault...
NAT may be aight... but there are lots of different stuff in settings. :)

I had some routers with my before router... but I've bought a new one (that one was quite old... and had problems with PC) and now, everything is fine :)

Yea I've been getting disconnected from live for some time now and I also have a wired connection. It doesn't always do it but when it does it usually does it more than once within a period of half an hour, and obviously it's pretty aggravating.

It's been happening a lot lately but I just reset everything from xbox connection to router to router and let it sit out for a while, then everything's fine :) so either reset everything or maybe something's set up wrong

I've been having a similar issue for the past few days. When the console turns on, I'm connected but as soon as I access Hulu/Netflix or just play a game, I'm disconnected and when I try to reconnect I get a low MTU error. I've contacted my IPS (Windstream... I hate you so f*#$ing much!) they tell me that my MTU is just fine and it's nothing to do with my connection. Has anyone else had this problem? I've reset everything countless times and I'm about to start breaking stuff... for real, haha.

You probably have a tweaked router/modem setting.

Xbox Live is fine bro, mine's running perfectly.

Take a look at the router especially, but it could be your modem too.
