I mean they cant seriously name it the 720, or something. I dont think Xbox 3 would work either. From Xbox to Xbox 360 to Xbox 3?That would be so confusing. I cant think of anything that will work. Seriously, Mircosoft's biggest challenge for the generation after this is coming up with a name for its next box.GreasyFetus69
"That machine that plays your favourite bungie series" That'll work right?
It's funny because I had the same question
But Microsoft are more original with names than Sony...
I'm sure they will find something
I think they will suprise us just like nintendo did with the name Wii...Pope_3000Thers a difference there though. Because Nintendo always had a different name fore each console like Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, now Wii. And people got used to that.Xbox so far as been Xbox, and changing the name will confuse people.
"Were back!"
"Xbox Unlimited"
"Green Machine"
"Xbox Xtreme"
"Xpert Xbox?"
(I can't think of any more!!!!)

NES, then the SNES (just added 1 word). They named their 64 bit system the Nintendo 64. So far, every system had Nintendo in the title. The gamecube really was just a cube that played games, so I can understand the name. The Wii is the only system that they made a weird title for.
We know one thing for sure, it will have "Xbox" in it. The brand name is growing, no way MS will scrap it.

The only people it would confuse is moms buying it for thier kids for chirstmas....im pretty sure the average gamer got the fact that the wii was the next gamecube
Xbox 720 or apocalypBOX, because during the 8th generation of gaming, that is when the end times begin.
JK JK JK JK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think it'll be tougher for them to improve on the hardware than come up with a name for it.jeordie015
True. For now. But by the time it's time to switch to the next gen, they'll throw in Quad Core Videocards and Eight Core Processors. They already have those in development. Quad core processors came out about 6 months ago and next gen won't be for about 4-5 years! Also, they have videocards with power equivalent to"DualCore" that fitintoone slot.
A name? Xbox 720 would be gay What about Xbox III or Xbox Mark III?

As long as it has an X and the word Box, I'll be happy.Shrapnel99to quote the Magic 8-ball (the toy not some random person) all signs point to yes
