setting up the windows media center and the xbox 360, computer noob needs help

i was jusc basically curious to no wether or not setting up the media center between my pc and my 360 would cause any slowdown on my computer. idk bout any of this though cuz im really bad with pcs

It will usually slow down you pc if you have programs running on it while the xbox is connecting to the media center. Sometimes the media center on the xbox will be pretty slow.

short answer.. probably not. long answer.. it depends on your setup. if you have a "fast" PC, router/switch/combo and no bottlenecks on your LAN, then you're good to go. If you have an Intel P2-400, a 10BaseT repeater and 15 torrent leeches, then you were probably already slow to begin with. The good news is you can configure the two and if you don't like it, simply turn off that feature on your PC (turn off the sharing in media player if that's all you used) by disabling the connection between the two in the configuration.

well i got is set up now. but now i was wondering how to get videos on the media player?

i think you need to put vids in the my videos section of your pcGen007

or, I think you can go to videos on the xbox media center and press X, then choose add videos.
