Shadow Run is Counter-strike

ive just downloaded the demo fromXbox Liveand played online, this game is basically counterstrike with a halo effect to it. im not critizing the game because its actually quite good, i myself am a counter strike player and when i saw this it was just to uncanny. just wanted to know what you felt.

No. The only similiarity is that you can buy weapons and abilities. Other than that there are no direct similarities that ONLY the two share. Staryoshi87

Yeah Counterstrike requires a lot of precision aiming while Shadowrun... well not so much. They are two very different games. Like you said the only similarity is that you buy weapons in the beginning of the round.

Yeah, seriously though, I'd say the major difference between the two is that counter-strike is actually FUN.

I think they play alot alike also and im a CS player also.

are you getting it? i am but its not set to deliver until june 15th- june 29th :( hopefully amazon lies to me and it comes sooner.

I wasn't going to get the game, but after playing a bit of the demo... it's actually a lot of fun. Plus as a CAL player and knowing how precise people can be when playing in matches, I MUCH rather playing FPS games on a console where people don't have pixel-perfect precision. It makes the game much more interesting :)

I know this game is also on PC, but many of the weapons have an inherent degree of inaccuracy.

I wasn't going to get the game, but after playing a bit of the demo... it's actually a lot of fun. Plus as a CAL player and knowing how precise people can be when playing in matches, I MUCH rather playing FPS games on a console where people don't have pixel-perfect precision. It makes the game much more interesting :)

just search a random maplike assault or duston the steam servers list, it will usually say WAR 3 mod in the title of the server name or somthing like that. there very common and not hard to find, its actually really fun.

Yeah its basicaly the same, but with magic :o

And its still a great game.

And the precise shooter guys you see online, Im one of them thats why I sometimes may feel frustraited when playing console shooters.

most of the times I go "Oh WTF I used a whole clip on him arhhhhhhh" because great CCS players play they almost get every kill with only using 3-4 bullets with a MP4 or AK. But anywho its still a great game.
