ShadowRun - What do you think?

So now that most of the information is out about Shadowrun, do you think you'll want to play it?

 From the looks of it, I'm kind of depressed that it doesn't seem like anything from the Shadowrun I use to constantly play on SNES. I was hoping for gang battles, drug deals, hackers, orcs, talisman and much more. It doesn't look like anything but another Halo look-a-like game shooter. I wanted it to come out like a Grand Theft Auto style game with sort of the old story and completely different world and characters and definately more features then GTA to keep up with the other games.

If you were a player of the old Shadownrun, what do you think of this new version? I know there was a Sega version though I never liked that one.

 Also do you think your going to buy it?

I'm in the beta and if it's any indicator so far it's like Halo meets CS.. Just not as good.

 

Then again it's a fairly early build.

I agree, except for the "not as good" part.  I think its better than either CS or Halo 2 at this point, an absolute blast.

Right, have you played it?  Do you have anything resembling an "open mind?" No? Then shut the hell up man.  You have no idea what you are talking about.  This game is VERY good and incredibly well thought out, sorry its not an RPG.  Things change, things evolve, sucks that you are afraid of change.

I think you might be looking at this the wrong way their not trying to remake the original Shadowrun they're using an old idea to create an entirely new game and i dont see a problem with that at all. 

I don't know, I think it looks pretty cool...only thing is, the game is coming out May 22, and I am going to be playing the Halo 3 Beta until it ends. So I am going to pass.chandlerr_360

Do you guys really think they should of used the title Shadowrun when it really doesn't have much to do with the original?

 Like there really isn't anything that remotely ties in with the original, except the magic though that is probably even different.
