Shadowrun-The Hidden Gem of 2007

Only the people who have played the game will agree, reviewers did not like the game for 1 reason its price was 60 dollars for a multiplayer only game. its 20 dollars now, I am telling you all that you should definately buy this game...Its that good, its honestly one of the most fun games I have ever played. I didnt know what Shadowrun was, but if you dont either you will like this game.

Its not some nerd board game dungeon thing, its a game where you can be a human (basic all around), elf (fast and weak), troll (strong and slow), dwarf (lots of magic) get some guns, get some magic (such as the a bility to teleport, revive fallen teammates, and a force push like move, and more), some technological items (such as a laser giving your gun pinpoint aim or a glider, and more) and go kill the other team using intensive teammwork to win the game.

Its 20 dollars, its amazingly fun and addictive and you really dont want to stop playing, im just trying to show people that Shadowrun is a great game if people just give it a chance, I know people feel wronged by it not being true to Shadowrun, but if they can just put that behind them and immerse themselves in this game i can promise you, you will enjoy yourselves. Go check out the demo, and see wh at I am talking about.

Though it is multiplayer only, its multiplayer is great. Lots of cool people with mics having a good time playing such a good game knowing that they are the lucky few who actually found this unappreciated game.

All I can say is I tried the demo - and me and my friends (online) turned it off after 10 minutes. Wasn't our kind of game, I guess.

But hey, if you enjoy the game, more power to you. And for $20, people that like this kind of game are gettin' a real treat.

Shadowrun is my favorite game on the 360 is like playing counter strike on crack. Bang for the buck my best 360 purchase to date.

yes so people that dont have live can still buy it. the bots are pretty smart.

I Have the demo and it is awesome. I am definatly going to buy it soon I dont know how it got a 6.9 rating. It should be a 8.0

Clear difference between stating your opinion and mindlessly trolling

Ive seen a lot more trolls recently, people are finally getting past their 100 elf games and are trying out new races. Im glad to see a better variety now, that people realized that getting the artifact isnt the MOST important part of the game. once again, i hope people start checking this 20 dollar gem out.

I rebought it a few weeks ago when I found out it was $19.99. It's cool, but I wish people would use a class other then the Elf all the time. I know a lot a people suck at the game and they need the regeneration, but it really gets annoying when your going against an entire team of Elves. They pop off a few shots then run, hide, rinse, repeat.EnderSR388

the funny part is that elves are so easy to kill, but i hate the elves who don't buy rez.

At the time it was released I didn't have a 360 and the PC version required you to buy an Xbox live subscription (if you didn't already have one) so I didn't really pay any attention to it. Infact I had completely forgotten about the game until I read this thread, so maybe I will go rent a copy and see what it's like.

Yes, the online community is still decently available. Also many of the people are much more mature and not so annoying. They work as a team, and the community has lost all the annoying squeals (not that kids playing a game is a bad thing, its not really deserving a M rating I think, but the annoying children that backstab and talk trash) are just about completely gone.

Also, I posted this topic to tell people about the game. Not be told it was a bad game, everyone knows people have different preferences, I am glad that you have at least attempted to play the game. I am hoping to show a few people that its worth a rent and they should take my word for it, or download the demo (a decent representation of the game)

I have the game for Vista and agree it is great. I got it for free as part of some deal at Circuit City. The different tech and magic really adds something cool to an FPS. I think the game would have sold A LOT more if it came out at $30-40.

This so-called Shadowrun game is the worst thing to ever happen to the brand. I refuse to support this game in hopes that a true sequel or remake comes.

And here's to hoping the the MMO will finally get released.

I dont know about that.. I played shadowrun sooo much when it first came out, and more recently since COD4 has gotten boring ive played shadowrun some more. There is still some complete idiots and annoying **** just not as much. It is a genuinely good game. I think more people should go buy it as its still possible to find a game in odd hours.

It is tough to learn and i believe that is why all these cod/halo lovers bash it so much. It is much more creative a game than halo, and to say what you do its obvious you trolls dont have any skill because you gave up after getting slaughtered by experienced players. Had you given it a chance perhaps you would gain some skill instead of going back to your halo 3 deathmatches.

edit:and to lord tk, you refuseto support it because your upset about it not being an rpg mighta worked. since as im sure many ppl know the company that put this game out has since gone bankrupt and said no DLC will ever be made. shadowrun sequal, doubtful.

I agree, it is barred down by its name and price. End of story, this game received bad review scores and 0 attention because of those two factors.

Every game will have these idiots, I have not gone into a game where they really have bothered me. I do not get mad at people who are playing mad, I dont mind people talking about movies or other games in Shadowrun. I sometimes like that about Shadowrun, the only thing I can not stand is when a bunch of immature ten year olds get in a party and go around killing people or boosting in a public game match.

Its a pretty fun game, even if it isnt the license.
