Ive been paying much attention to the responses concerning RE5 ever since the latest trailer was released, and have come away disappointed on many levels, but not for the reasons you may expect me to express.

Many have been flaming on possible racial tension that is kind of visible in the trailer or even other reasons such as multi platform this or that, but I think the real problem is that the game is just a disappointment all around....

If own every "real" RE game since the first one, and every one improves on the other, I especially gave it credit even when capcom failed to realize that playing a character using "tank" controls is not fun, even with a fun story premise...

The story has increasingly become a pile of mesh, to me its become more and more like street fighter than any other thing, they bring back this character, this character is related to this characters aunt and etc......

The main characters constantly survived mountains and mountains of zombies, only to come back for more in the sequels..

Im babbling....but in respect to RE5, it just looks like CRACKDOWN with zombies, for all the supposed "realistic" graphics, everything else (animations, number of enemies, dumb story) just makes it look dumb to me....

Im just expressing my dissappointment with a franchise that ive enjoyed over the years......that is just basically tanking as the years go by......

I can see it now RE6.......zombies underwater....or......now pigmy zombies........attack of the asian zombies (complete with martial arts).....

Tell me where you think about RE5, just the game, not the outside issues, just the game......what you think it will be like

P.S. Come on, Redfield looks like he is Arnold S in Terminator....We need steriod testing in videogames now!

i think the RE series is fine..i like the direction they are going with it really. my only complaint is..is that they really arent ZOMBIES. they are more like the infected from 28 days/weeks later, i would ratherthem go back to their roots with actual zombies but im still excited where RE5 is heading aswell. all this racial BS thats been stirred up is realy ridiculous aswell people need to realize that this is a game set in a specific place and it happends to be africa. if people cant handle that then dont play it.

It really dissapointed me beacause I was a fan of the original and also Code Veronica. In those you were supposed to avoid the zombies and kill them only if neccessary. In RE5 it looks as if you are constantly surround, very Dead Rising-esque.

it really is sad that race has been thrown into the mix. talk about racial insensitivity from those who ask for sensitivity. I just hope that this doesn't get blown out of proportion and down the road Al Sharpton gets involved.

the RE series was getting stale and boring after 0 and the remake of 1, and the dramatic change in playstle and upgrade on the controls and enemys of 4 is realy what the series needed. i'v been a die hard fan since 2 and loved everysingle one, but even i was getting bored of the rehashed formula and then when i played 4, my faith in the series suddenly shot back up into the stratusphere! and another thing....why is haviong lots of enemys on screen a bad thing?

The bottom line is:

1. From the huge success of RE4, you're one of the very few people that hate the direction it's going in

2. The new direction of how zombies directly attack you is more intense than just running around the corners avoiding them (because I know for a fact that if they did stay in the old direction, many people would say "the game was so short, i just ran around the zombies....i wish that they made it longer, i'm disappointed).

3. For those of you who are bringing up racisim in this subject, why wasn't anyone complaining about the spanish setting in RE4, all of a sudden being african american is different in speaking of the same terms of style? Shuttttttttt up...

4. I think gameplay wise RE0 and RE1:Remake were "the titles to own" on gamecube. They brought the true feeling back of what a real horror/survival game should be, especially RE0. Well crafted, excellent choice of switching characters back and forth. No one seems to appreciate the fact that those games were near perfectly crafted to be a survival/horror title. Visuals were mind-blowing for that generation too.

5. I think RE5 will sell more because of how it continues the success of RE4. RE4's story might have been a little cliche with rescuing a president's daughter but the story for RE5 looks like something new and interesting.

6. I was happy for the fact that it was being delayed because to sucessfully release a game that has high hopes, they should take their time developing it.

7. And finally, anyone who doesn't like how RE5 is coming out, they aren't stopping production just for you. So get over it, appreciate the game, play it when it's released because everyone else will be doing the same.

I agree on two points: I think the move away from zombies was bad. Zombies scare me, the guys from RE4 didn't, and so far, neither do these guys.

Secondly: He is WAY TOO BUFF!! Christ, he looks like a bodybuilder, which for refferance, look unhealthily beefcake. Leon from RE4 looked like a real dude, this guy looks like a stupid cartoon character. Tone down the arms and chest CAPCOM, it's just rediculous.

I just think that the stark increase in enemies negate the realism of the game.......As capcom is making the atmoshere all high def and all the action just doesnt match....

My mind atleast couldn't accept the situation......Im a vet gamer and one guy actually taking on 15 or more zombies just doesnt work for me.....I know its a game, but are you supposed to turn into a zombie if your blood or wound come in contact with the virus?...

Why is there an outbreak if Redfield can get slice with rusty hoses and get bit repeatedly and still shake it off?

If they wanted to justify this insanity, they should of just made a setting like dead rising........matter fact RE5 and dead rising should switch settings......

WE ARE TALKING ABOUT GAMEPLAY, NOT THE CORRECT NAME FOR A ZOMBIE LIKE CREATURE-PERSON!!!!!!!

I REPEAT "Shooting down RE5 for the wrong reasons?"

I like what I've seen so far. The whole zombie think was getting old and the changes were needed to save the series. I find the parisite-infected people far more dangerous than the faltering undead.

Politically correct? Reply with racist rants? You're a moron. To my point. Jun Takeuchi said point blank at E3 that the enemies in RE5 wereNOT Zombie or Ganados. Could I be splitting hairs with you over context, sure. Maybe they are T-Virus or Plaga infected blacks...Oh sorry, African Americans. Regardless, you clearly haven't kept up with the news surrounding this game and your baselessopinions concerning gameplay are equally as weak... clearly an attempt to stir the pot.

RE4 is regarded as one of the best games in the last decade. Capcom knows this and they aren't stupid. They aren't going to go back to the old style of terrible camera angles and lackluster controls. They are clearly fine tuning what made RE4 such a great selling game.

As far as looking like Crackdown? I have to completely disagree with your opinion here. They look NOTHING alike. Crackdown wasn't a fixed 3rd person cinematic camera. I didn't think RE (any of them) was a sandbox game or any of them were close to a cell shaded type presentation like Crackdown.

Again I think RE5 will continue along the same lines, GAMEPLAY wise, as RE4.The story, who knows...I'd like to think it'll tie into the previous RE's more so than RE4 did, but who knows.

I will agree that Redfield is freakin JACKED...
