Not everyone needs 4 controllers. Also, they factoer in two games but you can get a bundle with two games for the price of the console anyway. Stupid article IMO.

Cost of console: $300 (60GB)
Cost of 3 extra controllers: $37 x 3 = $111
Cost of 2 rechargeable batteries: $12 x 2 = $24
Cost of recharging station w/ 2 rechargeable batteries: $30
Cost of 2 games: $120
Cost of Xbox Live membership: $43 (13 months)

Lets see it matters what you want with the console you can get the arcade and a 20 GB HD for around $230.

Why would i need three controllers? I can see two but three? No thank you i only have one.

That whole recharging **** is worthless i got a charger and four batteries for $15.

Two full priced games cost that much but if you truly wanted to save money you could buy cheaper to the more expensive games not to mention sales.

Also XBL is not bought by everyone so that is just silly.

I think overall this list was just ridiculous.

They state at the beginning of the article that they were choosing a system for a family of four...therefore the assumption was made that they needed four controllers.

Oh i did not read that also how many families of four play the xbox 360 together? I don't know any but i guess some do. I can't really think of a game that would be family friendly for four people. Most people i know just plays games by themselves.

Yeah I dont think the 360 is the most family friendly console out there, not too many people going to be playing the 360 with mom and dad. Also if a family were getting a 360 to play together, Xbox Live wouldn't be quite as necessary.

For the most part, the gamer decides the cost of their gaming. They don't have to pay for DLC, arcade and original games, they don't have to rent movies and tv shows on their 360 and they don't even have to subscribe to LIVE if they don't want to. And, they can buy as many or as few games and peripherals as they want, and choose the basic or limited-edition versions of those games for that matter. I am sure a ton of Wii owners haveonly one game, the one that came with their Wii.

Don't think I'd pay 54 bucks on rechargeable batteries when I have a set of 8 rechargeable duracells that I bought for $20. Also, who buys that wireless adapter for the 360? $80 is a ripoff when you can use ics or hack a $30 router to do the same thing
