How long is the shortest you've had a 360 last? Mine lasted a year and a half, then the refurbed one I got broke after a week. It was made 3 months before it broke, so that console must have had the rrod twice in 3 months (presumably, anyway)..

This isn't limited to rrod, though obviously that's going to be the most common reason.

34 Months (2 Years 10 Months) Happy it broke when it did, it was edging out of its 3 year warranty, so now I have a whole years warranty :D

The first one I got was part of the infamous Jan 1, 2006 shipment and it started freezing after playing about an hour at a time.

My friend sent just got his back after a RROD. Two days later her got it again. He wasn't very happy..

i got my first xbox in 2006 and that lasted me about 1 year and half so i bought another xbox in may and that just broke on me last night....:)

I know somebody that had 4 xbox's because or rrod within 3 years. Mine lasted almost 2 years. O microsoft.

About 1 minute. I got it out of the box, set up all the dashboard stuff and turned on Gears. It lasted for about a minute before the disc reader screwed up and I got the "disc read error". Happened every time. Next one lasted about a year and a half.

3 months! the one I have now seems kind of reliable but I just got it in August of this year. August 9th was when it was repaired by Microsuck.

I got my first xbox in June of 2006 and it still runs just as good as it did the day I bought it. So that's what... 29 months? (2 years and 5 months and counting)

November just marked 2 years for mine, never had RROD.

And I work, so I tend to do long gaming sessions when I get home or on weekends. So I don't go easy on it at all.

my first 360 lasted me 4-5 months, then it rrod on me. i got a new one it lasting me jan 08 to now, so about a year.

None of mine has crashed yet. I sold the first one after 1 year, and the one I have now, maybe had it for half a year so far. Still no errors :) Lets hope I dont jinx it now.

I got a 360 back that had been "fixed" and I turned it on and it red ringed right there. So, it literally lasted no time at all... Ridiculous I know.

My "first" 360 lasted a good year and a half before she RROD. Then I got a refurbished replacement unit that RROD after about a week and a half. Nice. Sent the refurb back and they fixed it and gave it back to me. No problems since so far, and it's been about a year. :) The RROD wasn't a big deal to me. It gave me time to catch up on some old PS2 classics I hadn't had the chance to play yet.

2 months. got a replacement and 2 months later it died. This was even with the latest chip set in it.

The first weekend I bought mine I had to go back 3 TIMES as they were all defective out of the box. After that though, I've had to replace it a year after because of a faulty disk drive. I dont care though I love my 360
