I suck at DDR too, but I've beaten it on Expert. Hands and feet aren't the same thing. I suggest trying it at someone else's house if you're afraid of the $90 price. I strongly recommend it, its a blast. Its not all that hard to learn if you start off on easy or medium.
I never played it before either until Tuesday. It's a great game. I beat it on easy and am almost done with medium. Then on to getting my butt kicked on hard.
