should i buy bioshock?

i been looking at reviews of Bioshock and it did get game of the year but should i add the game to my collection? it is worth it?

yes, very few amazing games get recognized for the gems that they are.... and so much crap is hoisted on the shoulders of the industry and spoon fed to the masses... when a truly great game like this gets this kind of recognition it is amazing... not saying that the game is perfect, but it blew anything else I've seen this year away in terms of storytelling and immersion. The game is beautiful and fun to play. It has no multiplayer, but I feel that this day in age multiplayer is something that is tacked onto so many games without any meaning. This game was about storytelling and its atmosphere. This is definitely worthy of the game of the year title that so many placed upon it. This is one opinion, but I believe it to be true, and I think anyone that enjoys games AND an intriguing story than they should buy this game.

note: the ending might piss you off. I was fine with it, but it is sort of abrupt. The last boss of the game does not fit very well with the feel of the rest of the game thematically, but is still a thrill to fight.

It's pretty solid and definitely a game that everyone should experience because of how original it is.

It does have problems though. It is a bit overrated simply because people are overlooking it's problems because of all the other stuff it does so exceptionally well.
