Should I buy Dead Island?

The prices have finally dropped and I can get a brand new copy for about $43. Now for the once that have already played the game is it worth it? I really liked Left For Dead 2 and I'm a pretty big zombie fan but i've heard Mixed reviews about this game and I don't want my 43 dollars go to waste.

So please guys tell me your Honest opinions about this game. Thank you!.

yes, trust me guys its worth it. this game is greatly greatly underrated

I was also thinking of getting my "zombie thang" on with this title. But, from my reading of reviews, the solo play isn't great. To be fair the review claimed that the game was better on multiplayer. That's fine if you are mainly an MP player. But like a good solo mode with any game I buy.jetjetjaguar

I bought this game at full price and regret it. This game could of been amazing, but fact is It's not. It's a clunky game that was slapped together and pushed out the door to beat the holiday rush. It's a shame because the game would of been fantastic with more time to polish it. But as it sits most of the game is a chore sprinkled with moments where you can see how good it could of been.

I played the game with my roommate for about a week, got about 1/4th the way through the game and we both just lost interest. In that short time we experienced more design pitfalls, glitches, and bugs than I can remember. Maybe some people are willing to suffer through the game for the few moments of fun. But if you're like me and expect a full and complete game when you buy it, then I would pass. Because the game felt more like it was release in a late beta build.

I would say no, just because after you get used the game, you think it'll be fun with friends, but its just not. I thought it had potential, then it pulled a Grabbed By Ghoulies :/

I like it better than L4D 1 or 2. Contrary to what someone else said, it is def a co-op based game, and is much better when played w/friends. IMO

Well guys i bought it brand new today at gamestop for $45 and i can say that im personally enjoying the game. From the start i pretty muched got hooked. The action is pretty intense. I think i would have more fun playing online though which i plan to do as soon as i beat the game

Probably not. There are much better games to spend your money on at this point, and in the near future.

dead island is an awesome game, it starts off kinda slow but then is very fun. tons of side missions and uest can make the game last forever. i love the game and highly recommend it 2pac_makaveli

Nope, it's not very good at all in my opinion.

But on the other hand, one of my closest friends thinks it's one of the best games of all time and played (and I am not kidding) for roughly 50 hours before beating it ONCE. He is now onto his second playthrough.

So rent it or something, if you enjoy it then maybe go buy it. It's a very strange lovechild of Dead Rising and Fallout.

its a very meh game i can see why people would like it but it get imcredibly repetitive

save your money wait till its 20-30

the game is cool i love it so yeah go and buy yourself a copy of the game.

good game, very impressive for a no name game developer, around 30+ hours of gameplay, huge enviroments with barely any load times, fun co-op, decent replay value. I'd say if you can find it for $30-$40 buy it, if not, wait until the holiday season when the prices are cut and sales are going on.
