I'm not a big racer fan, but having played both and liking both, I'd probably say Burnout. It is more accessible to the games I believe, and easier to have fun with, being an arcade-esque game rather than a simulator like Forza.

Forza 2 is too serious... it was the first game i had along with Marvel: UA, and at first i didn't like it because you lose when you damage your car just by a dumb bump or a dumb press of shift of gear... but i learned to be patient and enjoyed it in the end...

all i can say is be patient when you choose Forza 2.. and take care, press brake when an opponent tries to bump you ^___^

take care men

and oh yeah, sometimes Forza will be funny and icebreak the seriousness of the game when you crash and your bumper fall-off, you'll passby the same area and your car's bumper will be ther and you'll say to yourself "oh look, it's my bumper right there oh" ^__^ hehehe

It's a hard call because of the difference between the 2. Forza is pure sim and Burnout is pure arcade. I have both and would say Forza 2 because Burnout has not really pulled me in enough to play it on my own 360. It only gets played when I take it to my buddies' place. (That and his 360 got the RROD with my copy of Burnout Paradise in it on the day it came out. That makes me leery of putting it in my own 360.)

I would go with Burnout. I love the arcadey feel, and it has a ton of replay value.

I absolutely hated Forza 2. I absolutely loved Burnout, I'd go with Burnout, no questions asked.

I've not played the most recent burnount as I have had TOO MANY burnout games.

They are a blast though. Burnout is more fun to play but forza is more for car fans/petrol heads.

kinda hard to compare the two games. the only similarity is that they both involve cars in some way. if you want a long lasting, deeper kinda games then go with Forza2 (buzzing online community for that game is a plus aswell) - if you want a fun, pick up and play arcade style racer/smash em up then go for burnout. the online is buzzing on burnout aswell but the crowd is more casual compared to Forza which has a large number of very experienced players, as well as some beginner players. i own both games and i have stopped playing burnout as much as i did when i first got it, i still play Forza and have had it a very long time.

also burnout doesn't support any offline multiplayer modes, so if you want to play a 2player racers on a single TV burnout isn't the answer. forza2 does have split screen mode for 2 players.

I never liked racing games but when I got my 360 over the summer all i had was Gears of War, Halo 2, Tomb Raider Legend , and Forza for awhile and somehow my days consisted of working then coming home and playing Forza 2 for the rest of the day. It was just such a fun game.

Burnout and Forza are completely different games. I owned both and sold Forza after 1 hour of play. I find realistic racers to be so boring, not to mention difficult.

Give me an arcade racer, where you smash into everything and perform crazy jumps anyday. (I'm talking about Burnout)
