The HD-DVD player is $50 now. It comes with King-Kong and remote. You guys think it's worth it? I know it's almost dead...

If you'll go NOW to the store, buy it and fill the form for 5 free HD DVD movies - it is worth it. But the offer expires in March 1st. To make sure, google it!

Well that is a tough question. I read that hd-dvds will be around $5 each in about two months. considering the price of a bluray disc ( > $30) I believe that offer is a really sweet deal.

Once Hd-dvds are out of stock, I am sure there will be plenty on ebay.

So.... I would say.... GRAB THEM WHILE THEY'RE HOT!!!

I'd wait. I have a feeling that HD-DVD is REALLY dead. I don't care either way though.

no dude. dont. hd-dvd lost the format battle. even if it is only 50 bucks it is not worth it in the long run when there are no hd-dvds left.

No, I wouldn't since it's probably going to lose the war against blu ray.

well you could buy one and they are a lot cheaper (they were like $150) then you can buy HD DVD movies for a lot cheaper also (since HD DVD lost movies are now like $15).Then you can get cheap HD movies and save like 130 dollars from all the price drops.....but they wont make any more HD DVD movies so what you buy now will be pretty much it.Then eventually you would have to buy a blu ray player to get newer movies.I think that if you dont have a HD DVD player you should not buy one but for people who have can get some more movies for really cheap.
