I watched the reviews and read about it but I still don't know. I like RPGs like Oblivion where customization of your characters is available. That is kind of a turn of but the talking options is cool. Is this game way too hard? Are there difficulty settings? Is the game long? Is the combat fun and can you explore openly for the most part or are you on a linear path?3645GuiltySpark
Buy this game! you can customize your toon. This game has replayability. They nailed the combat mechanics.(10) You can explore openly once you get your ship. There is difficulty settings.
I got this game 3 days ago.... It starts getting enjoyable when you are inducted as a Spectre, before that, not so much. Also, the combat takes a little while to adjust to. I've only done Eden Prime and Feros so far, and have clocked 11hrs.
To answer your question, yes. This game is a lot different to most and it shouldn't be missed.
If your a KOTOR vet you'll really apprieciate the similarities and likeness to it. While improving greatly upon it and creating a very believable world based in reality (Milky Way Galaxy).
If your new to this type of game it will totally blow you away. GET IT.
Beat my first playthrough in 17 hours. Very fun after you're inducted as a Spectre.
I recommend doing all the sidequests. They're extremely fun. And be a Vanguard. When you get a hang of biotics, they're insanely fun.

You did all the side quests and completed the game in 17 hrs? I'm 13 hours in and barely even halfway

ME is one of the best games ever IMO. me2 is better, but if you play me1 first then everything you do in thr game carries over to me2 when you start a new game and makes for an even more amazing gaming experience. ME series is the best RPG of all time and fallout 3 comes in a close 2nd IMO. ME franchise is better than both skyrim and oblivion.
Â
-different difficulty settings = yes
-is the game long = yes. very long 30 - 60 hours depending upon how much exploring you do.
-tons of replayability - good for 4-8 re-playthroughs (i've played through about 7-8 times)
-the combat is pretty good, better than oblivion but not as good as me2 or me3.
-the story and characters are FANTASTIC!
-the game is pretty linear, in one sense, but you can travel around the galaxy (sandbox) and explore most anyplace you want and will find unexpected things. you're searching planets will result various side quests that make the game extremely long and will carry over into ME2 AND ME3.
-tons of weapons, armor, and and bazillion ammo types and weapon and armor addons, power enhancers, ammo enhancers etc...
Â
the entire franchise is a must buy.
*SPOILERS ALERT*
Â
best part of the game and one of the most awesome and shocking twists that i never expected to see while playing a video game.

Â
to get this (as seen in the video) you need to:
-get gavin hossel's data on zhu's hope
-get the the 10 asari writings from me1 side missions
-get the elkos combine liscense in me1
-help jenna get her sister from chora's den when she's working undercoverÂ
-sympathyze and help conrad in me2 and not treat him like garbagewhen he's in the barÂ
Â
*SPOILERS ALERT* ps - this isn't my video but it turned out exactly like my playthrough did. and conrad can die if you don't do those things especially the part about helping jenna get her sister out of chora's den
Its a great game.. But the developers stripped some of the RPG elements in the second game, which dissapointed many gamers who liked the original.
Yes you should along with ME2 and ME3. All three games take about 30 hours to beat if you take your time doing all the side missions. ME however, seems to be more of a third person shooter with rpg features. kingcobrasoccerWhy do people keep bringing that up ?
[QUOTE="Spartan_N7"]Because it's true. Look at the level up screen in ME1 and then go look at it in ME2. I hated it, but that was my only problem with the second title. Lulu_LuluME1's Level Up Screen was unnecessarily complicated and redundant. How was it complicated?
