To be honest, I have not liked a lot of the current sonic games. Sonic Adventure 2 Battle was OK, Sonic 4 Episode 1 was decent, but I absolutely loved Sonic Generations. The gameplay between old sonic and new sonic was a ton of fun. Even the menu system was a blast to run around in.
That being said, I would not buy it at its current price. I rented it from Redbox and had it completed probably in about 5 hours. That is definitely a game I would purchase at a sub-$20 price. It's a shame it wasn't released as an XBLA purchase.

It really is one of the best, I am a big sonic fan but a lot of the 3D games are garbage and the voice acting has always been atrocious. That being said I have Sonic 1, 2, 3, 4 Episode 1, Sonic and Knuckles, and Sonic Adventure on XBLA, and Sonic Free Riders.
I can't tell you how long I've been waiting for a Sonic game like this. They need to do the dual-sonics from now on, I don't care how they work it into the story but it was great being able to play both.
It's a decent Sonic Game, but it also sort of wins by default due to how awful Sonic games have been recently. I think Generations would be a better game again if it actually ran at 60fps. The speed of Sonic just doesn't feel right at slower speeds. Rayman Origins is a far better game.
Sonic generations is an amazing sonic game. The final boos could have been more thought out a bit and certain skills in the game are disappointing to use,but the game is an awesome sonic game even with these issues.Go for the game Tc because it's one of the best sonic games released in a long time.
Yes, aye, go for it. In short - yes. It's a great game, one of the best Sonic games in a while with a decent challenge. If you rush through the game you can probably be done in a few hours, but rushing through the game is pointless when there's more to do than just rush through the levels. The soundtrack alone is quite impressive.

You should buy it if YOU think that YOU will play it and enjoy it. Just because someone else enjoys it (or doesn't), that doesn't mean that you will agree with them. Do some research...read articles, watch videos, etc. and see if it looks like a game that you want to purchase.
