Should I do this or not?

Yesterday I bought the Xbox Elite that came with Froza and Ultimate allaince for free. This purchase was $487.

I find out today that their will be a $50 price drop on the 60GB and Elite this Septemeber.

Should I return my Elite and buy the $300 60GB. Because it is cheaper, I will also buy the Product Replacement Plan from Best Buy (RROD protection) and GTA IV. All of this would cost me a little less than $480.

In the end it will be around the same price but the pros and cons are

Pros:
- 2 or 3 year Best Buy Product Replacement Plan so that instead of sending in the xbox 360 to Microsoft, Best Buy will replace it with a brand new one.

- I get a game I really wanted thats 10x better than forza and ultimate alliance = GTA IV

Cons:

- I downgrade from a 120Gb to 60GB harddrive.

- I get ugly white instead of beutiful Black Xbox. lol.

What you guys think?

with how money is now with most people id get the premium yeah u go down 60GB but are u really gonna need that full 113gigs (7 gigs to format the hdd) and big deal its white the consoles are the same but the black and hdd space and ull get a way better game gta 4 so i say its worth it

I think the Product Replacement Plan is 70-80$

But I am unsure if they replace it just once or you can replace it multiple times.

it should be more then once how do u only save 7 dollars tho if u got the premium $318 (with tax) gta IV 63.59 lets say the replacement plan is 70.00

it comes to a total of 451.59 (with tax)

Xbox = $300 + 8.25% tax = $324.75

GTAIV = $60 + 8.25% tax = $64.95

product replacment plan = 70$?

So 460$ total. I think.

ya resturn it it if u mind waiting a month of enjoyment for 50 bucks your choice. buy gta used in my opinion great game but online is decent not great. i personly rather play halo cod4 online with friends then riding around in the city in gta all day

I got mine at Best Buy...their warranty was 40$. It's not a one time deal, or else they wouldn't have different contract lengths...hence 2 or 4 years. Just get the 2 years for 40$, they will always let you extend it.

Get the cheaper one...you'll get a warranty with it, plus extra cash for games.

Not true. You get a brand new one. I even brought them the new one to the service desk to swap it out with. They do a one for one swap with the items you give them.

Bring your dead Xbox to Best Buy (keep your HDD)...they get a brand new one for you, open up the box and take out the Hard Drive right in front of you...then they hand you the Brand new box with everything - minus the HDD.

So yes, you keep your HDD and they give you a BRAND NEW one. Not a refurb or a fixed one. Trust me.

Alright thanks for the info guys. I think I am going to return my Elite and just get the 60GB 300$ xbox when it comes out with GTAIV or another good game with the 2 year replacement plan.

That way, I will feel much better that even if my Xbox does die on me, I will geta brand new Xbox rather than a fixed one from microsoft andI will have a game I will enjoy 10x more than my current games.
