cant compare either of the 2 games you mentioned as both totally differant.
Gears if like shooters, if you like rpg's get oblivion...Not so hard to choose it is.
Either that (and this is a tip to all the people who post crappy threads about what game should i buy next etc), if your unsure rent the games out to try them, if you dont like the game dont buy it, its that easy.
Sheesh, if you like game you should know what types you like to play mostly.
If u want alot of gameplay then def go for the Oblivion game Like 200 hrs of gameplay in that one. Gears i found had a short story mode for my likely but still a very great game. Also like they are saying depends on ur likes and dislikes. Cant go worng tho both very Crazy good games.
Oblivion will certainly last you longer. But gears has incredibly addictive online play. It all comes down to what your looking for. I time consuming RPG. Or a time consuming shooter. If you dont have online then get oblivion. But if you do, its too close of a call.
