You should buy two 360s. That way when #1 craps out, you have a fall back plan.

do you like gaming? if yes then you should

because:

#1: it has the biggest game libarary

#2: Xbox live is pretty awesome,

#3: cheaper than PS3

#4 longer warrenties ( 1 year warrenty on all parts, 3 year warrenties for red ring of death)

#5 controller got rumble effect(like PS2), unlike PS3(to reduce the cost perhaps, or was it a patent matter)

that's all i can think of.

why don't you buy it? if you don't like it just return to the store within 30days, that's what i would do.

Theres a lot of known good games out for 360, and more to come. A year ago I would have said PS3 before I knew how bad they'd drop the ball...And wait, rumble controllers a reason to get a 360? Lol. I find the rumble feature distracting, I dunno, but usually when I do things like play hockey or football my hands don't vibrate. All in all I was on the fence about the 360 because I hated the original Xbox, but if you like FPS and sports coupled with online play you really can't beat a 360.

i want the better of the two consoles (360 or PS3) because i could get both but then id have to buy games for both and then thats gonna be annoying because id be spending 2 much money so im just looking for reasons why xbox360 is better and what the guy said above me are pretty good reasons, but then quantity is not quality what really good games are coming out that are going to top MGS4, Killzone 2, Final Fantasy, Heavenly Sword, God of War 3, Haze? and dont say halo 3 because i have played the beta and i liked it and loved the enhanced graphics but it was halo 2 all over again

Well considering your avatar is a pic of Snake I just want to ask if you have a ps3? I'm a ps3 owver but am also looking at getting a 360. Just saw some great labor day sales. Circuit city has the Pro edition for $350 but you get a free wireless controller and Top Spin (probably not that good anyways) free. Hey free stuff seals the deal for me. I don't really feel that the elite is worth the extra $100 and not getting the free stuff. Well the one question you have to ask yourself is if the 360 is worth getting in the long run. IE: are games comming out for the 360 that you want to be able to play but might not come out for PC, PS3, Wii ect. Halo 3 is my deciding factor and others, but just depends. I also look foward to Bioshock, but that's also a PC game. In my case it would be cheaper to just buy the 360 than upgrade my pc to be able to play Bioshock.

Dude, just look at the games that are available and that are coming out and see if they peak your interest enough to make the purchase. That's all that can really be said because different games and features appeal to different people, so you just need to see what's interesting to you. Good luck.;)

Project Gotham Racing 4, Mass Effect, Halo 3, Eternal Sonata, Halo wars, etc. It doesn't top PS3's 2008line-upin my opinionbut the 360 unlike PS3 already hasa tonof great games, the only game I envy to the PS3 right now is Warhawk.I was with Sony on the last generation but I don't regret buying a360. PS3 is a great console too though, I think you'll be happy with both but as a 360 player I'll say buy an Xbox :).

Maybe PS3 would work better for you, plays blu-ray right out of the package, makes your room 5 degrees hotter, you have some good sony exclusives (I don't know WHAT I'm going to do when God of War 3 comes out :( ). I just felt Live would be more fun to have than the few Sony exclusives that Sony has...Final Fantasy and all that will also be on 360. As soon as I saw Resident Evil 5 announced for 360 I practically bought mine that day.

There really isn't a "better" console man, it's what console gives you the games you want and the features you want at a price you can afford. I find both systems to be great, both have their pluses and their minuses, but in the end I couldn't get my gaming needs satisfied by having only one. The games you talk about are pretty much Sony games so maybe you should get a PS3 for now and see how that goes. Maybe down the road you'll wish to add a 360 to it and maybe you won't, but you'll have the option....money depending of course.;)

i think the best deal is to get Xbox 360, since in your other post you mentioned that your brother owned PS3, there's no point with two PS3 under one roof, so when you'r brother is bored with PS3 games, you guys can switch (vice versa)

Honestly you need to get both consoles. I would buy a 360 now because it has better games at the moment and will through the end of this year. However, I would recommend getting the PS3 at a later date especially if you are interested in games like Final Fantasy 13, and Guns of the Patriots.

The people here are all mostly going to reply yes, unless there are a few stray PS3 fanboys roaming the forum.

i might as well buy them both i guess, i am like one of the biggest sony lover fanboys out there but i am open to other consoles, the biggest problem with the 360 wasnt the red ring of death thing but that its been out almost 3 years i think and Halo 3 is the last one of its kind after that im kinda iffy about the next big game (mass effect) for the 360 and the biggest fear for the PS3 is the price, and i mean they both have amazing games bioshock, halo 3, mass effect, fable (the main reason i want a 360) then there is MGS4, Killzone2, Lil Big planet, Grand Turismo, and Final Fantasy is actually going to stay exclusive, their amazing games but i like looking to the future, well anywho thank you all in the end i might as well get both and see who wins this stupid next gen war haha!

That might be the longest sentence ever posted on this forum or any other forum for that matter. But then again it doesn't have a period at the end. Hmmmm, to be continued...

yes you should i am gonna be getting one in about a month, despite the whole issue with the Red Ring Of Death, its a really great system and the issues are being worked out slowly but surely, i had a PS2 in the day and i would have considered myself a Sony fanboy, but with PS3 its like you have to have High Def TV, truthfully there's not that many good games on PS3, alot of what's been hyped has been a flop, Heavenly Sword is basically the Female version of God of War so thats a bit of a waste IMO, and the big rumor floating around is that Metal Gear 4 could be heading to the 360, i dont know if your in a hurry to get a system but if your not, wait a few months and analyze what is out there and make your choice then

Good choice. Getting both is a necessity if you want to enjoy all of the games you are interested in. Sure it's expensive, but oh man is it fun.

haha i hate it when people say MGS4 is coming to the 360 it irritates me! but it wont ever come out Kojima has repeatedly said it over and over again and i agree with the heavenly sword being like god of war but then again you could say that Dynasty Warriors is the same because all that heavenly sword is, is a hack and slash video game and i would make this another very long sentence but i am too lazy haha cya around guys and gals (period)
