Well my hard drive is massive atm, It holds a devastating 10-12 Gigs...

I got it when it first came out, the pro. And Recently I tried to save a game to my hard drive to find out that it takes up more then half my hard drive.. I've never really done this before, I don't really need the memory, but If I want to save games.. hmm I'm just wondering is it really worth it?

And can I transfer all my saves and everything over to my other hard drive?

Upgrading to the 120GB drive was probably one of my best purchase decisions. If you're going to want to install a lot of games (which I think is worth it just for the reduction in noise from spinning discs) then it's worthwhile. It comes with a transfer cable, so everything you had on your old drive can be moved across to the new one.

Yeah I'd say it's definitely worth it. You might as well get a new hard drive, especially if you consider buying future games. Not only future games but future Xbox updates that will probably make you wish you bought one sooner.

i agree, upgrading to the 120 is awesome and not having to delete every demo of game right after i play it is worth the money

I really want to upgrade, but still waiting for the price of a standalone HDD to fall to something approaching a reasonable price

You might as well wait until your xbox dies on you and then just buy an elite

I'd wait a few more months. I'm betting Microsoft will release a 250gb hard drive in the spring or summer.

Didn't they say that the 250 will never be released seperatly? I know that's what my MW2 console has on it and that's what they said when that came out. I just assumed they'd play some number game and release a slightly larger or slightly smaller drive just to be able to say what they did. But yeah I'd expect a bigger drive will be coming soon enough.

i've seen a few 250gb hard drives sell separartely on ebay.

but yeah, if you play a bunch of arcade games like me, you'll need a lot of space. (i've used around 60gb on XBLA games alone)

Yeah they said that, but they deny a lot of stuff if it isn't officially announced. But it seems pretty logical, them releasing it. They wet everyone's appetite by releasing it on the MW2 console and saying that it won't be available separately so that when it does come out everyone who's been longing for one can rush to retailers everywhere and purchase it. Plus the PS3 has a 250gb hdd so it's good for competition. Spring or Summer. Trust me ;)

I would recommend that you upgrade to a 120GB HDD. I have a 60GB HDD and have 4 games installed (ACII, Halo 3, FIFA 09 and BFBC) and I only have 22GB left. Space goes by fast and it's good to install. Although you might want to wait a bit since according to Kotaku, 120GB HDD's have been disappering from store shelves which prompts them to concur that either the 250GB HDD is gonna be sold alone or a price drop for the 120GB along with the 250GB HDD

I would recommend the upgrade. I have around 20GBS for the install of Rock Band 2 and DLC. It pays for itself in no time.
