You might be waiting quite a couple years. Nothing has even been released about a next Xbox. I say you just buy a 360 since you could be waiting up to two to four years. Just a rough estimate.

Get it now. No news or even rumours about a new console being developed. Not worth the wait. Plus great deals now, or if you wait till christmas, you'll get best deals most likely:P

Just get a 360 dude. The next gen is still probably at least 3 or 4 years away so there's no reason to wait. At only $299.99 I'd say the Elite is definitely worth it.

I think this is the best time to get an xbox actually, they have limited the RROD and have given a price reduction on the Elite. So in that case I would recommend the Elite, if you can wait, they are putting out a special COD: Modern Warfare 2 Elite system.

was asking myself the same question.. i decided to buy the elite for 299$ along with halo 3: ODST .. i ordered it by the internet, it should arrive in the next couple of days, and i have to say its been a while since ive been this exited about something :D

I say 360 cuz the 360 aint going away for a while now and the new xbox has no plans until 2016 (wat i heard)

go ahead and buy one. Itll be at least 2012 before another xbox is even considered, and ive heard alot that microsoft is really considering a 10 yr life span for the 360, so do u really wanna wait till 2015?

Not sure how much fact is behind it, but I heard that Project Natal was going to be the "Next Gen" for the 360. Instead of having the 10 year cycle Sony has or w/e, they're just going to extend the 360 with Natal. If that's true, then I'd say go ahead and pick it up. There is no reason not to at least.

As for the system, just depends on how much money you want to spend. Try to make sure it has a Jasper GPU to help avoid the red ring of death, however.

I would. Just got the PS3 about a month ago and it's great - I have access to a host of top exclusives that are now as cheap as £10. The same will be true for the Xbox 360.

If I didn't buy dvd's I would absolutely fill my HDD. and that's exactly what microsoft is aiming for.

Im thinking about a 360 there are some good deals around at the moment

i did have a ps3 but got the YLOD and you only get a 1 year warranty so PS3 aint that good

also with the 360 you get a 3 year warranty so you are covered in case of RROD
