you should definatly get this game, it was the first 360 game i owned and its great, it has a good 6 hours of origional game, then theres overtime mode, then unlimited mode, and it has ALOT of replay value. Seriously, this is a great game, great graphics, great leveling system unlocking new moves, and increasing your attributes. alot of physcos to kill with a wide selection of weapons and 100s of zombies on screen pretty much at all times, great fun. (if u get the game, go to al fresca plaza n get the chainsaw, believe be you wont regret it)edable_giraffealright. cool. Thanks.
I got it and had a lot of fun with it. Fun achievements and pretty good story. It's not a easy game though, and has a strange system where you can restart the game with your character from your previous game. It's incase you're finding the game to hard you can redo it with a higher level,
If you can get over the small things like that you'll enjoy the game a lot. In my top 3, 360 games.
It;s funny, people can say a game like Lost planet is only 5 hours long, but it will take me a week to finish it because I only play games maybe an hour every evening, and I die a lot which doubles the time it takes to finish a game, I don't play on easy.
Dead rising took me over a week to finish, plenty long for me. I've got games likeFFXII and God of war 2 still unplayed because the thought of playing 25 hour and 50 hour games has put me off until I've got nothing else to play.
I've always been interested in this game, but I never thought it warranted the $60 price tag. Now that it is $40 should I pick it up? What are your views on the game?Lobster_Ear
just play the demo...i borrowed the actual game froma friend and i got bored of it really fastÂ
YES!!!!

I really want to see a link to this.Â
The game has some frustration factor and a few head scratchers (why isn't there voice acting in game?? This isn't the DS) But it is a blast. Coming up with creative ways of killing zombies is the most fun. The first time I used the auger I couldn't stop my maniacle(?) laughter!!! But I cried when I tried killing the psychopaths in the courtyard...and cried even harder when they came back later in the game. :/ They game would be loads more fun if there was no time limit, and a save anyhwere feature.Warchild
But, there was voice acting? And it was hilarious...Â
It's a great game, but it's more worth a rent in my opinion. I have gamefly and beat it pretty fast. Probably less than a week. It's a very original game though and if you are really interested in it go ahead and buy it.
Oh and I've heard if you don't have an HDTV you can't read the text. arkboy_basic
Nah you can read the text, it was just made to be played on widescreens and not standards. But playing at high res helps a bunch.Â

Doesnt matter, you can always stand up in front of the TV to read the text, lol..
But yes it is true although its not like it takes the fun away from the game..Â

I can't recommend this game, despite my love of zombies.
The save system and time restraints suck the fun out of the game. I hear that once you start leveling up, that this become much easier and more fun, but when starting out, it's tedious and frustrating.
And if you have a standard def TV, don't buy this game. The text is absolutely unreadable.

Yeah, the first 20 levels you basically suck and making sure you level yourself up is a must. After you are about level 20 you can pretty much enjoy the majority of the game without having to worry about getting beaten extremely easy. Its truely a survival game when your low levels and does get frustrating. I remember cause i had to restart about 5 times in a row just to get things right and get use to the learn curve that this game throws at you. Whilst the time restraints suck it does add a nice edge to the gameplay, time management is key in this game and whilst at times you will have a tonne of spare time where you can seriously waste about 2hours doing nothing (Kill 50,000+ zombies achievement).
Many people have complaints about the save system but its a very basic system and very easy to use, i really don't see why people complain about it. I agree with your complaints to an extent but on the other hand it is a great game and even great games have flaws.Â

My opinion and mine only. I HATE this game. You go around taking pictures of zombies after you put a stupid ******* hat on their head. To save a game requires an act of christ and there is no depth to it. It seems the only people that like this game are the ones who fell in love with that movie......cant think of the name, like army of the dead or something. Or something where a bunch of zombies run rampant and the heroe has a shotgun and chainsaw? Its skipping my mind right now, but Im sure Ill remember later. But, if you like the game or are interested in it, buy it. Wish I could sell you mine, and I never return my games. :(Â

No they don't, because it's rumor. In fact, I think people from Capcom have denied this on their official site. Hopefully they'll throw co-op into the sequel though.
Anyway, I definitely recommend this game. For $40, it's a good buy. $60 may have been a little much IMO -- just because it has the "replay value" issues that tend to befall single player games -- but $40 is a good deal. You might even be able to get it for less on eBay.Â
