Now I Used to own gears but sold it to get bioshock. Now ive played the heck out of gears online and with the campaign and if I buy it again I will probably play online a lot more. But Skate is out and I played the demo and its awsome. Im leaning towards skate cause I can get my multiplayer fix with halo. so what should I get.
I myself just got SKATE and am enjoying it much more than Gears of War, it actually feels like a real accomplishment to do a really nice trick when a guy is taking a picture of you for his magazine.
Seeing as how you've already played the heck out of Gears, I think you should get Skate. It's a new and fun take on the skateboarding genre. Gears will hopefully drop down to $30 as a Platinum Hit sooner than Skate does, so maybe you can pick it up after that happens sometime in the future?
Both of the games are amazing i have both but ive been playing skate more because its fun to play the campaign and the online is fun but its laggy and **** The lag actually makes the online kinda fun cause its slower but gears gets kinda boring to me i think because all you do is blast peoples heads off.

I wouldn't say that it sucked, but I enjoyed other games much more. I did like the tactical nature of it, I just didn't really care for the dark/grainy style - it got hard for me to figure out what was going on (could have been the TV). The story was ok, but nothing that drew me in. And I never really got the hang of multiplayer - it was kind of like CS, because if you don't know what you're doing, you get sniped and don't get to do anything until the next game, when you get killed right away.
P.S. I voted for skate, not just because I liked it more, but because you've already had the fun of GoW and you can probably pick a used one up for cheap in a little while anyway. Alternatively, you could download the skate demo on XBL and just play that for a while to help you decide.
Hands down you should get Gears of War. No comparison. Why would anyone even ask this question. You should have already gotten Gears of War. LOL, nah but seriously I think most people would just say SKAT because it is the newest title right now. If you ask Gears of War or Call of Duty 4, everyone would say COD4, granted the game isn't even out yet. But you get the idea.
Gears is a must own for me. All of my close friends have it and we all occasionally go on for multiplayer action. That alone is reason enough for me to keep it in my 360 library.
