Just wait for GH3 its gonna have ALOT more content, co-op carrer, Majority of the songs are MASTER tracks, AFI is on there if thats the sort of stuff your into.
And last but not least ONLINE PLAY.
Trust me, as a avid guitar hero player, id say wait for guitar hero 3.
i am kinda in the same situation. my brother just got GH2 and doesnt like it, sez GS will only give him $35 for it. he paid $55 for it and wants to sell it to me. is it worth $50 used? someone talk me in/out of itt.insideouthouse
I'd say $50 with a guitar is worth it, then when III comes out you can trade it in for $35 and you basically paid $15 to rent it for a few months.
i will need 2 guitars for GH3 bc my girlfriend plays this game too (and only this game). so would it be good to buy GH2 for $50 or just buy extra guitar for GH3

I'd go for GH2 and keep the guitar... Don't forget that GH2 is still a great game, so basically you'll have twice the songs as if you just bought the second GH3 guitar.
[QUOTE="Mr_Abandon"]not really, i am bored as hell, and can you put ur own songs in GH? i seen it done on the ps2 version on youtube.Strife88
It's hacks. With a PS2 hard drive and some 3rd party software, you can create your own songs in the Guitar Hero games. It's pretty cool, though not really worth the trouble IMO. But if you look into it, there's a fairly large mod community for that game, particularly given that it isn't supposed to be moddable.
Anyway, the tracklists in both are good, but I'd have to say 3 because I know less about it and, thusly, have more hope for it. Despite the fact that GH2's tracklist looks awesome, some of the covers are really horrendous. "Killing In The Name" by Rage Against the Machine in particular is laughably terrible. They take all the grit and sleaze out of "Can't You Hear Me Knockin'" by the Rolling Stones, and they make Iggy And The Stooges' proto-punk monolith, "Search and Destroy", sound as if it's put through some sort of demonic "My Sharona" filter. Ugh... I shudder to think about it... whoever in that awful band thought that they did a good job on those covers needs to get into a Cessna and do a John Denver impersonation.
Is it really worth paying $100 for a game you'll only be playing for less then a month? samcotts
well i was thinking the same thing... but the "playing less then a month thingy" ive never played a GH game b4. but now all of a sudden im all excited about GH3. n 100 bucks its a lot of cash. :?
