I still play Halo 1 for PC. Have never really played 2 properly (i know, shocking)

Am i going to get truely owned? I hear all this stuff about level 50's i dont even know what it all is. Im just used to getting into a game, getting some kills, then leaving when i get bored. Is Halo 3 too competitive?

Maybe i should try 2 first? Help

If you get ODST you get all the maps available for Halo 3, for Halo 2 you have to sit and download them all and matchmaking is SLOW for Halo 2. Forge is a great addition to Halo 3.

At this point, geting halo3 to play online is a total waste of money. At the end of the month bungie is going to impliment the playlist update and most if not all the playlist will requier the new maps witch can only be gotten from the odst multiplayer disc. Honestly I my self did not buy odst because i cant care much for the campaign I did rent it played it and thats all.

But really they are pretty much forcing people who want to play halo3 online to buy this "new" 60$ expansion is just ridiculous.

Just remember if you dont get odst chances are you wont be able to play alot of the main playlists online in Matchmaking.

If you feel the need for more information go to the bungie website and look up the updates it should be somewhere.

get ODST. you get the Halo 3 multiplayer component with it & all the maps. anyways, it's not competitive at all, for me anyways. I can generally own tons of people. but every couples matches, I get SLAUGHTERED!

First of all, no dont get Halo 3. Bungie is really forceful in that they make 90% of the ranked game types DLC required.

Second of all, Halo 3 is no where near as good as Halo 1. Halo 1 was the only good Halo game, the rest were garbage.

Third of all, get Call of Duty 4. They don't force you to buy map packs and online multiplayer is really engaging and it allows for much customization.

Fourth, well you could always wait for Modern Warfare 2.

Well if u want to do the campain then get Halo 3 but if you don't really care get ODST cause it has the maps and multiplayer.

The ODST campain is kinda short though but it is very fun.

I would get ODST maybe Halo 3 if u want the campaign

;)

- If youre just going to play multiplayer, get ODST as it has all the maps.

- Will you get owned? Well it depends on the playlists, your rank, and who you play with and against. Since you're just playing for the heck of it, I'd advise to just play social matches.

- Play 2 first? If you want.

In conclusion I would say yes...and i think Halo is better than COD. *puts up flameshield*.

Get ODST if you want it for multiplayer. If you want it for single player.. well, don't waste your money. My honest suggestion would be not to get it at all (though honestly I'm not a Halo fan by any stretch), because $60 for an expansion is a rip-off.
