Ive been a lot of good stuff about Mass Effect but i dont no if i should get it yet. Ive seen trailers and it looks alright, but the whole stopping to switch weapons all the time seems to be stupid. SHould i get it or not and why.dyelawn22
It is a masterpiece, everyone should buy it.
In my experience you don't have to change weapons, for example if you're a soldier just use assault rifles... you just have to pause for using spells as you will use all your squad members spells. Also, pausing helps you aim the spell better.
I definitely recommend this game if you like long, deep stories with alot of side quests to make it even longer and more fun.
there's alot of should i get mass effect topics out there... so im just going to say patrick swazye recommends it himself.
Frankly this is the kind of RPG that should have been humongous but it's just not. Play through the game once on paragon and another on renegade and you're done. There's just nothing else to do.
The few side quests that there are are great, but 99% of side quests in the game come from the citadel, and only about 15% of the characters in the citadel have dialogue for you. That should be an indicator of the amount of side quests in the game. :/
Exploring uncharted worlds is painful. The Mako is fun to drive, but there's practically nothing on these worlds except Thresher Maw's and a mumified salarian here or there.
I think my problem with this game is that I was treating it like jesus from the minute it was announced. By time it came out,I was excpecting so much from it,that I started excpecting it to do impossible things, and that really deteriorated my appreciation for the final game. If you like RPG's it's worth at least a rental if not a buy.
