bought my xbox in feb of 2006 with 1 yr microsoft warranty and 1 more year gamecrazy warranty. xbox warranty is up and gamecrazy warranty is up in 3 months. my system hasnt had any big problems other than a rare disk read error here and there. gamecrazy has already said i could get a new one. well should i trade my reliable system for a new one or let my warranty expire. gamecrazy said since i bought it before microsoft changed there warranty terms that its warranty would take place after one year and not three years.

Don't forget to back up your games on a memory card if you trade in the old system. They probably will not let you swap out the harddrives.

No no, I just sent mine in and got a new one back. They specifically tell you to keep your hard drive, they have no need for it. They just replace it with a new one. But word of advise, if you do have to send your 360 in, take any cool face plates off, cuz they dont give those back. I lost my GoW one this way... *sniff*

Did you ask them if they would swap the hard drives? I bet they would. It's not like the hard drive is marked specifically for the system or anything. Just ask them and I bet they will just have you pop it off the new one.
