Well i bought my xbox 360 at costco which means i can return it at any time no questions asked, and i was wondering if i should return my 20 gb xbox 360 that is ultra loud and makes crunching sounds that scares the crap out of me every time a friend puts a game in, for a new 60 gb xbox 360? On the downside i'll lose all memory in games i recently played but i can just my gamertag and still have my xbox live points and everything right?

No. Don't take advantage of the nice people at Costco. Take it back only if you really have to.

I bought mine at Costco too and returned it because Microsoft said so. Call them, tell them your problem, and if they say to return it, return it. Don't do it just for the hell of it

No. Does it read the disc? If so it still works. Mine would freeze about 10 minutes into a game no matter what. If yours still plays the game, it's fine

Don't take advantage. That's a horrible thing to do. That policy is there to protect your purchase, not to take advantage of

Parents? No. I'm the one doing the parenting in my house (I'm 25). Why would you lie about it?

Save up the $80 the 60GB will probably cost and that way if it does break, you won't ever loose your saves

Honestly, you should do what you think is right, as long as its nothing illegal of course.

Besides judging from the tone of your post it seems like you were going to follow that course of action anyway, what possessed you to to start a topic about it?
