Two questions:

1. Do you think microsoft should have made another 360?

2. For you personally does it have enough features for you to just drop your current xbox and get it?

I think:

1. Were fine with the original 360 but what they're doing is still pretty cool...

2. For me, it does not have enough features to make the difference I'm fine with my current 360.

It was just something to put out there in a month with a drought of games. Cool paint job, but not worth it. Ill pick up the hard drive for my original after the price drops.

I really dont' care. people wanted it, so they made it. I personally keep barely anything on my harddrive so I don't need that space, and I don't have a 1080p tv, so I'm fine with my 720p component.

1.  I don't think they should have made another console.  More than anything it anlienates their loyal customers.

2.  There are not enough options for me, to make it worth it.

1. Its nice to see MS listening to consumer demands, people wanted a bigger harddrive and HDMI, here you go!

2. No, definitely not, but it wasn't meant to be that way.  The elite is just for that, for ELITE 360 users who download like crazy and also have HDMI capable TVs and surround sound systems.  Almost no one really needs to buy this new 360 if they already own one, but it is a nice option for those who want it.  I'm "fine" with my 360 too, but in a good way.  I'm not settling for the one I have (I could easily go buy an Elite if i wanted to) I am fine in that its exactly what I need.  When I do upgrade to a 60+inch 1080p HDMI capable TV I might consider an upgrade to the elite, but that's a long way away, least till the end of the summer.

I'll be getting it as soon as I can.  I'm going to be giving my 360 to my Brother, so I don't feel like I'm wasting my money in purchasing the Elite.  I'm very interested in seeing how the HDMI support works and of course the Hard Drive! OH man, I can't wait till they bring out their IPTV and I can use my 360 as a Tivo! SWEEEET!

1. Consumers want it, so yes. It's just like all electronics, in a constant state of upgrade to meet demands of customers. Just like a TV set, you buy the latest and greatest and in 9 months a newer version of the same thing comes out with a few extra features. Doesn't mean you can't still watch TV. Same thing with the new 360, the same games will be available for both versions. If you need the extra few bells and whistles, then it's now available which is a good thing.

2. Not for me. I'm happy playing on my 720p hdtv and don't need the extra HD space.

Yes I think they should have made another 360. It shows people that Microsoft as a company is still working on making your life better by designing newer models of a platform. To make life easier Microsoft made it so this Upgraded 360 is not needed. Its only needed if you really want HD movies downloaded on the harddrive. Even then you can buy a seperate hard-drive for it from the store.

i would say yes to the whole new xbox thingy, but the date of its release is kinda sad since allot of xbox fans just went out and bought a premium version a month or so before its release without knowing that there will be a elite version,  but im fine with my 360

They should have made another xbox with a better cooling system IMO, then they can add the HDMI, HDD stuff as long as the console don't die in a short period of time.
