Do you think the Elder Scrolls should have multiplayer? personally I think that it would break the series. I like the incredible single player experience and it doesn't really lend itself that well to multiplayer.

hell no, RPG's are meant to be a single-player experience, if people want mulitplayer rpg's they can play MMORPG's all they want, leave our single palyer franchies out of it
Not competitive, the combat is "meh" at best so PvP would suck major.
Co-op though, THAT would be sweet. Dead Island, Dark Souls and Borderlands have proven you can have a big open world RPG with some sweet co-op, though they'd probably need to find some way to make death work in co-op well.
Maybe something like Dark Soul's but besides that no.

I agree, I think the MP in Dark Souls would fit nicely; however, if it isn't broke, please don't fix it.
I'm actually really worried about Mass Effect 3 simply because of the multiplayer aspect. Hopefully they don't leave the single player aspect of the game in the dust.
Absolutely, yes. Co-op is perfect for that type of game. I don't care if it would even effect the story or progress of the person joining I would just love to join someone elses game and help them with quests, and you can add scaling difficulty like Diablo. When someone joins it makes things a little bit harder.
Co-Op would make me enjoy the game. It would also work pretty well with it
Player vs player, no, that would be horrible, especially with a combat system like Skyrim.
id like to see some PvP multiplayer. maybe reintroduce the Arena from tamriel and players can go there to fight each other! would be cool
hmm...my answer is no. But maybe co-op would work...apart from that any other form of mutiplayer would completely ruin the game. I like them for the singleplayer experience, and adding multiplayer would likely take away from that.
Wow I am surprised at how many say NO. I would say yes. Why not throw in co-op mode? It doesn't support it cuz you have to pause the game over and over to select your stuff but IMO they should get rid of that. I guess all the nerds just love to pause the game and select their potions. Seems stupid when you can just slam the difficulty down to easy mode. Do you think it takes skill to select "drink health potion" when you are low on health?
What's wrong with you?id like to see some PvP multiplayer. maybe reintroduce the Arena from tamriel and players can go there to fight each other! would be cool

I would like a co-op aspect, but that is it. I would really have no problem at ALL with that, because I always party chat with my friend when playing skyrim anyways, so i would love being able to actually play with him, or just show off my stuff :P
if they find a good way to intigrate item selection into real-time and have a good system for death I'm all for it.
As far as PvP....oh GOD no, that would be awful.

nothing, why would this be a bad idea? Elaborate instead of insulting
It's not something the series lack, but a well developed co-op option from arguably one of the best game developers around would surely do something for this industry. We've had Dead Island and Borderlands, but what if this time the mechanics were thought through so well that no matter if you played the ES game single player or multiplayer you'd feel as if you were playing "the best" one in the series.
Just because you can't imagine it doesn't mean it won't work.
Absolutely not. Single player games still have a strong place in the industry and Skryim proves this. The Elder Scrolls exists to be single player, the entire structure of the series revolves around it.
Not every game needs multiplayer, in all reality there are many games that have multiplayer that should not.
maybe something dark souls style.
jettpack
That would be silly; if you want to play dark souls go do that.
