Well basically a topic people have been talking about, not only on game-spot but everywhere: Is Xbox live for kids.
My answer would be definitely, BUT to actually make my answer fair i've searched videos on the Internet, watching a gazillion kids harassing on Xbox Live, this pisses me off, because about 8/10 of the videos i saw, the anger and harassment got to far, and was unbearable and plain annoying. Unfortunately there are some adults that cant control there anger too, but at least they quit playing at sometime, and relax, and might not do it on purpose i don't know. All i know is, i, myself is only 15, and most 14-15 year old, and above, has learned to control this stupid anger that may appear if you loose a game, to the computer, or another.
So i myself think that you should be able to buy Xbox live as a 14 year old. And there are actually some really good reasons for it too.
1. Kids intend to get angry, and commit harassment to another gamer.
and
2. Alot of the really great and most played Xbox live games such as Gears of War, Cod4, Halo 3 and whatever, has content that minors should not be playing, so it doesn't make it better that they might get furious, but also see a knife stabbing someone, or a bullet go right through a head, i ain't saying they are gonna murder someone - just saying, the content is already forbidden for minors, the adding of their anger doesn't make it better.
I believe kids like myself (who has several +18 games) are able to get the Xbox live, even if it was every going to be like that, there for i would say, perhaps make it a bit different: Xbox live (the gaming part of course) should be harder to get to in some way, i don't know how, but in some way it should, I'd like to hear you're suggestions on what can be done, and i know "Parents can just do their work" or "mute the TV" or whatever, but those are not realistic, no parent wants to watch their child 24/7, a reason kids get consoles, is to shut the f*** up :P and also I'd like to listen to the audio, come with some realistic suggestion - even if you disagree with me on whether minors should be allowed to play the gaming part of Xbox Live Gold
