A lot of big titles these days aren't living up to their expectations. They seem to be just mediocre, nothing ground breaking like their predecessors.mark1982

Agreed....other then better frame-rates, graphics and loading times, this gen of gaming is only slightly better then the last.

I looked at Silent Hill Homecoming's videos and the combat looks so sluggish add to that the fact that the game has respawning enemies and youve got a disaster waiting to happenArclight_Blue

I think the hype of silent hill games will cover it up.....lets wait and see.

wow i wasnt expecting a 9 or 10 but geez a 6.5 is bad if it played at least anything like the older ones it should have gotten at least a 7. Im still gettin it though love my horror gamesGen007

The series took a nose dive after Silent Hill 2 in my opinion. Now they're not even using the same dev team or anyone from it. :? They handed it over to The Collective, which had some decent games in their own right, but according to the scores so far, they didn't handle this series entry too well. :?

It's a shame really, the Silent Hill series could be amazing (and was at one point!), but now it's just kinda languishing around in its own mediocrity.

SH 1/2 were awesome...

4 sucked, 3 was okay.

I hope this game gets okay reviews, cause Im playing it no matter what. Its the inner fanboy in me.

If the reviews are mega crappy, i'll rent it, its a buy otherwise, I just have to.

yeah but the thing is RE isnt scary anymore 4 made me lol and 5 well is looking like more of the same not that it wont be a good game but i doubt it will actually instill fear. I fear RE is never gonna go back to its roots i mean its just too action packed.

Silent Hill is more of a cult fan base anyway, isnt it?

If its solid by silent hill standards, i'll be happy.
