you guys know the bottom gray lining of the 360 controller, that pretty much covers the entire bottom portion of the 360....i opened my new one yesterday and it turned out to be silver as opposed to the normal gray color...is this a rare difference, or does it signify something, because ive notice the dpad is much, MUCH sturdier, and the shoulder buttons are stronger and click harder and more.

? could be a 2 generation controller - but wait is it the offically MS one?
Some of the first generation 360s had the silver color on the the console and the controllers. my buddy has a silver console and controllers. I think there kinda wierd looking myself. but i don't think it means anything specific.
This isn't true. because all my controllers are first party. The one that came with my console has the grey bottom. I bought oneseparatelyand it had the grey bottom. But the last one I bought has the silverbottom.
When the 360 first came out they made that part of the controller as well as the top of the harddrive that silvery metallic type finish. Now however they use the regular gray plastic, probably to save money.
