Single greatest moment of your favorite game!

Ever been a moment of a game that had you going holy crap wat the hell was that? Thats the reason i play games and the crazy feelings you get when you immerse yourself to the character your controlling.

killing the boss in mgs3 was crazy and sad. and when i beat commandos 3 i was kinda proud of myself for finishing such a hard game.

Haha yea that fight was IMO the hardest boss fight ever! She is a frikin beast! I really can't think of any game that had a boss fight as hard as The Boss fight.

I love DMC 4. In the cutscence where Nero defeats Angelo Agnus, and is trying to save Kyrie, when he jumps in slow motion and almost grabs her but gets her necklace and then falls to the ground and crys. It gave me chills. Yeah I was thinking about a DMC move too. Did you watch the anime series?

From this last year it was playing Mass Effect (360), Cyris (PC) and The Witcher (PC)

As for online games = COD4, Team Fortress 2 and GRAW2

If we are talking of all time.. then thats a hard one.... Dune2 (pc), Quake1 (PC), earthbound (snes), Super Mario 3, Fallout 1 (PC), Castle Of Wolfienstien online, FF7, Metal Gear Solid 1, Golden Sun, Ultima Online, The Elderscrolls series, KOTOR, Chrono Trigger, Suikoden 1, Vandel Hearts, etc....

I'd say when the nuke goes off and you're in the chopper in COD4.

Beating General Raam on insane on my first try for Gears of War.

Getting the invisiblity suit and racing through the game for Oblivion.

Leaving the prison in Oblivion. First Oblivion gate...last Oblivion gate. Final cut scene of Oblivion.

CoD4 was pretty sweet also, with the nuke.

The WTF gaming moment for me would have to be playing MGS2: Sons of Liberty for the first time. The part where Col. Campbell starts going crazy and keeps calling in. Started to make me go nuts. But I loved it!!!

Campbell: "Raiden, TURN THE GAME CONSOLE OFF RIGHT NOW!"

Raiden: "What did you say?"

Campbell: "The mission is a failure, cut the power right now!"

I'll agree with you on Earthbound for the SNES.

Recently for me has been Gears of War, when I first bumped into a Boomer and two seconds later found out why they are called "Boomers"

I love it how the only word in their vocabulary is "BOOM"! LOL, or maybe they are speaking some alien-language, and it just sounds like "BOOM" to the English ear.

Totally agree with Dead Rising's lawnmower. I think I just kept going back in the mall, only to go right back out again so I could keep re-using the lawnmower over and over and over.

I think when I used the Knights of the Round for the first time in FFVII was a very awesome moment.

Yes, I was playing double dribble for with my cousin one day and right in the middle of one of those bomb sounding 3 pointers from half court when the damn thing froze. I took out the cartridge and blew on it, shoved it in the NES and moved it from side to side, hit the power button and boom, nothing. That's when I said holy crap, NES sucks, they've got to make something better. Than the SNES came out and I had one of these moments. lol

Realistically I loved Bioshock.... when you first meet the little sister and the big daddy, that was cool

Splinter Cell DA, all the choices had to make to keep both sides happy. that was a pretty good moment in gaming.

final showdown between cloud and sephiroth.

for me there were two in FF7. When aeris died or the final fight with sephiroth and hearing that music. Or Cod 4 the nuke going off and the stealth mission.

BioShock - the last level in the game, where you put on the big daddy suit, and the little sisters help you get to Fontaine. The entire game was memorable from beginning to the end. Loved it.

I also really loved on the Oblivion Expansion pack (Shivering Isles or something i think its called) where you have to fight that BIG HUGE guardian guy who guards that one door.. OMG that guy was huge! :P

Kameo also had some brilliant moments, like when your on the horse and taking out literally hundreds of bad guys :P

Also the first time i played MASS EFFECT and BIOSHOCK where great times, late at night, with the surround sound on :P

1. The final battle in HL2: Episode 2. That was both frustrating (especially getting the "Neighborhood Watch" achievement on it) and just EPIC at the same time.

2. The last 20 minutes of Portal

3. Halo - The Maw

4. The part of the Ark level in Halo 3 where you get the tank for about 6 minutes of glory.

5. The last level of Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath. Easily one of the best endings ever.

There's like 100 more I could list :)

KOTOR 1.. fantastic game that one :)

I remember when it came out i just loved that game so much, but my friends hated it and wanted more SHOOTING!

haha, so i had to play it at night when friends where not around :lol:

I've had some incredible story experiences in Deus Ex, Baldur's Gate, and Torment. I recall playing the Quake demo when it first came out, and being amazed that they could make something look that good. I had the same thing happen playing Far Cry for the first time. It was the first game where they got a jungle to look right.

On the 360, I was particularly impressed by the part where you choose which of your companions to save. It's not often you experience something like that in a game. By that point, I'd been drawn into the story to the point that I could really feel Commander Shepherd's catharsis over the loss of his friend.

On the lighter side, Portal was great the whole way through. Those cute little sentry bots crack me up, even though they're trying to kill you. "Are you still there?" "Uh oh!" "Put me down!" "I don't hate you."
