Single Player Games for those Who Don't have Live

I don't have Live and don't want to pay for it

i mean first you buy the box

then you find out for some games it wasnt enough for m$oft to incrase the price of games because of disks from 50 to 60 but then they try to also FORCE you to buy a **** hd to "INSTALL the GAME FILES" why the **** dont they work without the hd?

Then it gets worse, you figure out you can connect standard usb hard drives (external/fashl) and you can transfer files onto them so why the **** can't you just connect a external hd and use that to save games/updates/etc.

If you ask me M$oft needs to be sued again for monopoloy as there are no 3rd party accessories (hds/memory units)

oh and I'm not a fanboy so please don't think im trying to start a war just saying me reasons as to why i don't have live

Mass Effect

Deadspace

Prince of Persia

GTA IV

Fall Out 3

what are some other good single player?

Also i'd like some recommendations for some good multiplayer games that DONT require LIVE or Specific Controllers (guitar/mic/drums/dance pads)

Singleplayer games to get = Lost Odyssey, Last Remnant, The Orange Box, Tales Of Vesperia, Bioshock, Fallout3, Farcry2, The Darkness, Kameo and Forza2

Multiplayer with good offline options = GRAW2, gears2 and if you enjoy sports games get NBA2k9 or NHLO9, both are my fav sporst games ever.

Also left4dead and Condemned might be worth checking out aswell.

You don't need to install your games to the HD under any circumstanes, unless you DL them from the marketplace.

i like nhl 09, ncaa football 09

The abbreviation for hard drive is HDD not hd. Also Microsoft doesn't force you to do anything. Up until recently they actually did not even allow any games to require the HDD. Obviously an expansion for a game is going to need to be installed.

I took the liberty of highlighting a specific word in your post. Read up top at the stickied threads, there's a thread for this exact same thing, you may find it useful.

Actually HD is the abbreviation for Hard Drive and/or Hard Disk, HDD is the abbreviation for Hard Disk Drive. Hard Drive/Disk is just short for Hard Disk Drive. In the end they all are all referring to the same thing so no one really cares.

Just wanted to point that out since you had to make a small fus about it, and because I am bored and can't fall asleep :(
