its an awesome game, it can get frustrating at times because it makes you have to practice certain things but nothing too hard that doesnt take justa few times to get a hold of. best skating game i have played to date, the demo is the same as teh game except more places to skate etc.
i got the game on release day and i've always played at least 2 times a day for a good while, it's an amazing skating game, kinda like how refreshing THPS 1 was back in the day.
It's the most innovative game in the genre ever. I think it's WAY better than the TH series. It does require practice, and I still kinda suck. If you know someone that can bust a high point combo on skate, you know it's skill, whereas TH it could be luck. I thought Tony Hawk Pro Skater (the first one) brought skating games to a whole new level, and we wouldn't have skate without TH, but they really have taken it to the stratosphere with skate.

actually... skate is the sequal to an NES game called Skate or Die. So it was here way before the TH series ;)
It's not a sequel to Skate or Die lol, AND Skate or Die had a real sequel on NES. The game is great and very frustrating but just like any game when you beat a really frustrating challenge it's such a god feeling. When people say that someone who can pull off a good combo definately has skill and it isn't luck, that's not entirely true. Once you get further in the game some of the video tapes you have to do are so outrageous that you pretty much need luck to beat them.
