SKATE review wow

sad.. seems his biggest gripe was that he couldn't pull the right trick. that's not the game, that's you. don't knock the game down cause you suck at it.it's hard i admit (it's supposed to be) but when you learn it, you should be able to do whatever trick you want at will.

what a joke, so he has trouble with tricks, doesn't like the advertising, online can be laggy.. and that gets it a 7.5? BS they gave tony hawks P8 a 7.9 (granted they did reveiws different then) skate deservesno less thanan 8 by even the stingiest of critics.

Yeah gamespot rated it lower than any other site. GS also complained about the controls and how it was too hard to pull off tricks.I remember my first 30 minutes of skate too.

The first half a dozen tries my kickflips attempts would sometimes be pop-shuvits, but after doing about 50 kickflips I finally got the hang of it, and now I can pull them off flawlessly.

Gamespot should of actually played the game for longer than an hour before they tried the challenges.

the eternal sonata review was ok

the gamespot review is horrible and contradicting...their major complaints throughout the review don't explain flaws of the game, but difficulty in the reviewer trying to learn how to play the game.

Every other site thats reviewed the game at least gave decent complaints, but they still acknowledged the games greatness and rewarded it with a fantastic score.

I got the game yesterday evening, only played it for about an hour or so and im loving it....considering i played the demo 15 times (minimum), the whole feel of the world and objects to play around with is more than what i anticipated.

It seems like the reviewer was a tony hawk fan making up lame excuses so skate. wouldnt get a higher score than tony hawk proving ground

it's a decent score.. but this game deserves more.. it completely revolutionalized board games to come.. and it's flaws were..

the reviewer sucked at it, online was laggy, lots of advertisments, and load times (but only when you warp to spots.. it's fluent going around the city).. those little cons don't drop this game to a 7.5 IMO

If you would actually READ people's posts...the complaints are with regards to Gamespots content in the review not reflecting the score fairly.

7.5 is definitely GOOD, but with how innovative and BETTER the game is compared to a 10 year long running series that milks its fans...it should have got what it deserves...which is AWESOME!

I can't believe they gave it a 7.5, GS has lost all trust in reviews for me. How can Bioshock with no multiplayer get a better review than this I have no idea, oh wait, its not a FPS and EA probably didn't put any money in their pockets! I give it a perfect 10
