Which game do you think is the most enjoyable to play?

I think that skate really has brought a lot to the playing field. With the flick-stick, you actually feel like your do the tricks. Instead of pushing a button. But the Tony Hawk Series has brought a lot of things that skate did not. So tell me your thoughts.

thats a tough question. Skate is awesome in its own way, cus its realistic, and you can upload pictures and videos, but Tony Hawk games have that more fun factor, where you just skate on anything and everything.

actually your 1st sentence said it all.. its realistic. and in a sports game, i honestly believe that realism is a major influence to the game. tony hawk was great, but its like playing mario hoops compared to lets say NBA2k , something like that you get what i mean.

Skate. wins THPS hands down.

skate. is a much better game for realism (which is what you want in a sports game) but THPS is good for an arcadey sort of skating game. To be honest, I found that skate.'s intuitive control scheme was much more fun than THs button-pressing (sometimes mashing).

Single-PLayer wise I'd say Skate BUT THPS so far owns the multiplayer.... T.H.U.G. FTW!!!!!!

Tony Hawk, growing up and playing the series when I was younger can't match up to 1 game.

I think that THPS 1 is one of the best skate board games of all time (along with Skate or Die) but Skate is a close second, or third.

Skate is better

My only complaint is that preforming specific tricks is very difficult. That can get very frustrating when you are required to do a specific trick

For example, there was a mission were you had to 360 Flip into a nose grind or something like that. I remember getting very pissed off because it was so hard to do

I prefer Skate. I just like the realism over the arcade style on the Tony Hawk games.

thats because doing a trick like that itself is not easy. if it was easy, it would be fake, and to me fake = not fun = ridiculous. THPS makes back fliping of a tall building and landing on a grind many metres down easy, ridiculous.

actually i love the THPS series, but when skate. came out.. i was blown away, the likin for THPS got blown away too
