I have looked around the internet and haven't seen anyone complaining of this so i'd thought to come on here and ask. We have had skyrim since launch and had only minor issues with it (dragon skeletons never leaving). The patch came out last week and now my wife and I have noticed that dragons no longer attack us. They fly up high and never come down as well as my wife has currently been playing a new character for 6 hours and hasn't been able to fight a single dragon yet (outside of the first one in the whiterun quest). They fly over they roar but they never even come in close. I read someone said Bethesda wanted to have dragons that were basically just scenery but come on...6hrs and no dragon fight? I realized that you can enjoy the game without the dragons but without souls you will never be able to max out your shouts past 1. Is anyone else having this problem since the patch or is it just us? If this is a widespread problem any news on a patch for the patch? (To avoid any "what system you playing on" questions i'm posting in an xbox forum so figure it out).

Out of the ten or so dragons that I encountered on the PC version, only 2 of them didn't land and attack. You've probably just been unlucky so far...

The problem with the unlucky theory is that from release 11-11 we have been playing constantly and killing so many dragons they really should be extinct. The patch hit and for some unknown reason we quit playing for a few days and now that we started again we noticed that dragons don't seem to attack anymore...at all! Seems suspicious that pre patch it was a dragon blood bath and after patch they are just scenery. Something is wrong.

There has been a problem with dragons related to the latest patch, maybe this could be the problem? I suggest waiting for the next patch which should be some point this week or unload this patch and play offline.

Yep, its most likely the bug that was introduced with the 1.2 patch. This week, Bethesda will release a small incremental patch to fix this, plus a bug that removed any spell resistance, wich is for the reason I can not play my main char for Skyrim.

ive encountered (before and after patch) multiple occassions where Dragons fly much higher and wont attack me. A few instances i actually climbed the highest peak to reach the dragon and fought it, other times the dragon flew away ignoring me. I just assumed this was the programming built for their AI, figured they wont always attack or they couldnt see me from such a far distance.

The dragons used to attack the people of Skyrim, but then they took an arrow to the knee. In all seriousness, I don't know what to say. I've fought something like 15 dragons without that happening. Well, one instance I saw a dragon in the sky, but it was so far away that it wouldn't even make sense if it did attack me. How would it even see me you know?

I cleared the cache but it didn't help. When it asked to update I said no but it wouldn't let me play my game save since it was saved on a patched version. Honestly we had very minor issues with the game but after the patch it has made it a chore to play. If the game played like it is now when we first got it i'm betting it would have been returned already. As of last night we came across the backwards flying dragon issue only problem was that we couldn't kill it and sadly it was a "quest dragon" for Ulfric Stormcloak. Also now we are getting the frequent freezings during loading screens (never did it prepatch). Its kinda funny in a way that our version of the game ran really good prepatch and now after the patch it is running like what they put the patch out in the first place.

I've no downloaded the patch yet... I have noticed a couple of times where I've killeda Dragon and they not disolved like normal and I've not absorbed any soul... but both these occasions where near a Dragon site where I'd already killed the Dragon before... 28 kills and counting!

is it installed to ur system? if so, then delete and reinstall. if it isn't installed, then try that? otherwise its a waiting game till next patch.
