Skyrim or BF3?

I am in a serious dilemma about which of these games to get! I recently finished ME2 (loved it!!), and even though my backlog is still long I want to get a new game. I like RPGs and military shooters, but I want to know which of these will keep my attention longer. I am leaning towards skyrim because sometimes it is nice to just game solo. However I loved everything about BFBC2, espcially the campaign, and the multiplayer when I could get a squad of friends.

Anyway let me know which you would pick and why. Thanks. :D

Thanks for the feedback, I too am a gamer that has played many many games (for over 20 years). Another reason I hesistate on BF3 is because I own MW3. Yes I know they are VASTLY different, but how many military shooters does one need? I never even play MW3 anymore, but I have elite premium so I feel obligated to keep it for new content.

Hate to admit it, but I never played Oblivion. I have played games like ME2, Fallout 3, and Dragon Age Origins, and loved them. So I'm familiar with RPGs.

Skyrim all day long. BF3 was one of my biggest disapointments of last year.

The issue is that I hated playing in squads with randoms. I see BF3 might have the same issue.

No brainer here. Skyrim.

BF3 is just another shooter in a genre that has many games released every year. Huge open-world games like Skyrim don't come around very often.

Skyrim, Battlefield 3 should on be played on PC as should skyrim but BF3 even more so.

I see no problem playing BF3 on 360... I've not been disappointed. Don't get me wrong the story sucks, but that's not why I bought it. If you want multiplayer, I think it's best-in-class on the market right now.

Skyrim is the most expanisve game on the market right now. With 200-250+ hours of gameplay, you're getting the most bang for your buck with Skyrim.

If you want to do MP, then go with BF3. If you want RPG/lots of gameplayer, go with Skyrim.

I'm playing BF3 right now, and while it's way better than I thought, Skyrim is still the better choice.

Skyrim

Anyone who has played both can tell you you'll get much more of your money worth out of Skyrim, especially if you like Oblivion. It even gives you more info about the elder scrolls themselves. Good times.

Also if your looking for something a little fresh in your multi-player/on-line experiences id recommend checking out Operation Raccoon City. A good bit of fun to be had there as well and much more unique then either call of duty or battlefield.

the more i play skyrim the better it gets, such a great game. BF3 is a great game to one of my most played game for online MP, but i would go with skyrim!

id say Skyrim. game is awesome.

it really surprised me. i was watching my friend play, and thought it was boring. not my type of game. he begged me to play it, so i was like fvck it, might as well try. and i got hooked.

Skyrim is now my second most played game at 168 hours. first most played game would be Left 4 Dead 2 at 543 hours

Tough call, both are great games but it really depends on whether you want to spend your time playing the best multplayer game this gen or playing one of the best single player game this gen. Personally I'd say get both but that's just me.
