So I've been seeing all the postivie posts about Skrym lately and I was just curious how it compares to Oblivion. I got oblivion as part of a combo pack with Bioshock so when I played it for the first time it looked dated and that kind of turned me off from the start. After trying to get into it a few time I just never could have its been on the shelf ever since. My question is, is Skyrim much better than Oblivion was or is it going to be about the same experience? Is it worth giving it a shot even though I couldnt get into Oblivion, or should I just pass it up?

It's overall the same style of game, it's a first person/third person RPG, full open world. But the leveling system is totally different, and they made drastic changes to the graphics and how everything overall looks. It's definitely more polished in terms of graphics and the NPCs seem more human. In Oblivion they kinda just walked around, did nothing. In Skyrim there are kids who run around and play, and the adults are walking around and even talking. It's the same style, but if the graphics turned you off of ESIV then Skyrim should make you happy.

Edit: Also the dungeouns, in Oblivion they overall looked like every other dungeoun you'd find so it got boring to raid and explore. In Skyrim, i've found no dungeoun or place that looks like another. And all I do is explore and find stuff. They really went all out on the design to keep things new and fresh.
