Once you delete all the garbage its approx 13GB. The rest of the hard-drive is use for Backwards Compatibility and Page File Memory.
You should have purchased the Elite.
I didnt really need an elite. Funny story, the guy at EB also TOLD ME i didnt want an elite. Haha... wow.Witchsight
What the hell?
What a horrible salesman.
why do you people buy from those stores...cabjnico
Would you prefer i made my own from sticks and mud?
I like the EBs around here. Ive never had a problem there and all the workers get excited whenever i pick up some obscure game.

The clerks at EB did the same thing to me with my 80gb PS3. They told me that the PS3 sucks and to get a 360. I told them that I already had a 360 and they suggested (jokingly, I guess) that I should still buy another 360 insted of a PS3. I bought my PS3 and walked out. I hate when sales people think they know what I want.
But back to the topic. MS has some videos on the HDD that you can delete and as someone said, that should take you up to atleast 13gb.
Pretty much agreeing with what everyone else here said. Delete all of the stuff on the hard drive that comes with and you should have about 13 GB free.
And yeah those Gamestop/EB Games places are horrible, I try not to buy from there if I can, but I still find myself going in there for good deals ($5 PSP games for instance).
Don't u ppl have "GAME" outlets in ur countries? they have a real smart bonus system that'll get u lots of games for free in the long-run, good prices 2.Keitarourashima
I buy all my games in that store. I live in Europe.

pretty much what he said ^
I am sure 20gigs will be enough, even if 7gb is already used. Demos take up about a gig each usually, but after a while they get old and you delete them. I figure if i can keep a few gigs free at all times, then i'll be fine. It's not like TV shows take up that much room. And movies you download on there are basically just rentals (which is a dumb idea if youask me). But hey if you freak out and are worried you'll run out of space, get the bigger HD OR get a 360 backup aftermarket kit. I'm pretty sure there is an aftermarket kit to hook your 360 to your PC and just backup everything.
