So, about the Battlefield Bad Company demo....

I cannot begin to tell you all how blown away I am by this game. I have been a CoD 4 junkie since the day it came out, but after playing the new BFBC demo, I can safely say that the day it comes out will be the last day I play CoD 4 for a very long time!!

I mean everything that I love about CoD 4 has been made better in BFBC!! The graphics are stellar! The guns and explosions look amazingly real. The fact that you can blow holes in walls, drive or fly vehicles and wait this is huge....SPRINT for more than 10 feet is incredible!!! The Attack and Defend gamepla on the demo is so much fun and I also love the fact that even the biggest CoD 4 map is dwarved 5 times over by BFBC's terrain! IF this game gets less than a 9 Ill be shocked!!

Sorry. What i was trying to say is that there is no GOOD ranking or upgrade system. 25 levels max in Rank. And the unlocks are boring. You gain 1 credit for every rank that unlocks whatever you want. But none of the unlockable weapons are any better than what you already have. And theres no additions. No scopes, silencers, nothing to add. Some of the accessories are alright, but nothing exciting. Theres 25 weapons and gadgets. Each 1 costs 1 credit to unlock. And you gain a credit with every one of the 25 ranks you earn. I just have this feeling that in less than a week, not only will i be maxed out in Rank, but ill have everything else unlocked too because you get one every time you rank up anyway. The gameplay is great, amazing even. I just wish the ranking and upgrades had more depth.

Im basing this on the fact that other batlefield games by the same company have had gun classes and ranks.

ranking would be nice, and the cod4 udgrades were horrible. that isnt enought to say it wont be better than cod4. and i dont care if it is. once its out, im buying it.

did you just say no ranking system did you even touch the demo and there is upgrades to get guns but whatever. Im personally more excited for battlefield because vehicles 8 giant maps conquest and it is just fun to play with friends.

Bad Company isnt a pretty decent game, but its lame in comparison to COD4.Joelo8112002

isnt call of duty 4 kinda repetitive now even with new maps only a few game modes I used to play on it and it also got too easy because I would do good every game

I read it later but you did say no ranking system when it clearly does have one making it seem like you didnt even play the demo. Just because it doesnt have 55 ranks like call of duty 4 doesnt make it bad.

Well, like i said, i love the demo. I been playing it since the early release started on the 29th. The ranking system just seems weak. Theres 25 ranks total and i got to the 4th rank in the demo the first couple games i played. If you can reach rank 25 in 2 days, it might as well be non-existent. And with no weapon upgrades, the only unlockables to look forward to are the ranks and a handful of weapons and gadgets. I am looking forward to the 120 "awards" though. Id like to see what they are. Im sure its just medals, but thats better than nothing.

The demo is awesome. I'm definately buying this game when it comes out. The multiplayer is better than COD4 in every way.

btw... yes there are unlocks and a ranking system. It's just like COD4.

Hey DZBricktop, are you crazy, no, i think you are a call of duty developer trying your best to make Battlefield Bad Company look like sh!t It is the only demo i have played that made me actually want to buy the game, its amazing. And oh yeah, i doubt you could max out your rank in a week, i willing to bet on that. If you knew anything about battlefield games you would have knew maxing out rank is not an easy task. It could take a couple of years thats even if you are an avid player as you claim yourself to be.wathafack

Well lets see. 2 or 3 times i said the demo was awesome and it was a must buy game. I never said anything about CoD4. What i DO know about Battlefeild games, is that unlike Bad Company, none of them require something as simple as points to rank up. You need other objectives as well. But not in Bad Company. All you need are points. Even sucky noobs can reach rank 25 that way. Maybe youre the one thats crazy?

There is a ranking system - I ranked up this morning and was able to unlock a new weapon.

I doubt it, but would be nice if the rank i obtain in the demo carries over to the full version when it comes out. Hate to spend all this time playing and ranking up only to have to start all over again.

I guess I could consider it my prestige (COD 4 reference obviously)

I did the single player part of the demo, and I have to say it's pretty good. The graphics are AMAZING (like every other game these days), it feels like it's made for HD. The controls really suck, I had a hard time figuring out what the heck to do with them. Plus, the objectives aren't very clear. Other than that, it looks good.

does anyone else feel like it's excessively lagging online?

I can play any other game just fine online and my internet connection is above sufficient for this.

it was perfect with pre order only but now you have to quit and rejoin sometimes to get out of U.K. games but I wish they would of kept the demo pre order only if everyone is just going to hate it and compare it to Call of duty 4

You can't completely judge a game by a demo. And from the sounds of it, it isn't as deep as COD4's MP.boostud

You can't use vehicles, deform terrain (fox holes can make good cover) You can't use any weapon that you've unlocked without having to quit the match and remake your classes, you can't heal team matesthe

Also these sound effects ARE INCREDIBLE!!! :D

I think BFBC will have a better story. Both multiplayers are addicting but I think COD4's is more addicting. I'm kinda fatigue with first person shooter war games right now. Can't wait for Gears 2.
