If you settle for the same, that's all you're going to get. That attitude is why we have to deal with studios pumping out sequels just to make money, pop music dominating the charts, and the same god damn video game because you'll buy it even if it's nothing new.hcblankscreen
 Amen to that.
I don't see why the hell everybody is so excited about this game, it's a movie game, and movie games suck royal arse virtually always. Spiderman 2 was decent at best, a C/C+ title, and just because it didn't suck as much as most movie based games, it was somehow good? OK then. I don't see why anyone would expect a great 9 + caliber game out of Spiderman 3, the other 3 recent spiderman games were high 6s low 7s.Â

Name one person who thinks that. No one does. You just made that up.
People want to play this new Spider-Man game because they are fans of Spider-Man. It doesn't matter if the game only recieves an A score. It will still be very cool to play for those fans out there. It doesn't need AAA for that.Â

I am a fan of the movies, I have never read a Spiderman comic, nor any other comic. I like the games because I like doing the tricks. Just like I like playing Ninja Gaiden. AND the same reason I am going to get Assassian's Creed. Well I don't know if that will tave the trick but I'm getting it anyway.[QUOTE="FearlessSpirit"][QUOTE="Schumi7WDC"][QUOTE="hcblankscreen"]If you settle for the same, that's all you're going to get. Only it's more likely that it will be fairly more realistic.Â

I just pulled a number out of the air to make my point, way too many people are talking about this game like it's going to be some great work of gaming, movie games, and games that are updates of mediocre games, thier not going to be much. A game in the range of 7, is clearly a game with some issues, and if you know that game, and know that Spiderman 3 is basically a retooling of that game, you should expect not much more than that original game, so people that are dissappointed with it, must be expecting an 8 or 9 kind of build quality game, or they wouldn't be dissappointed in what was put out.
I like Spiderman a lot myself, but that doesn't stop me from openly admitting that Spiderman 2 and Ultimate Spiderman were very mediocre at best, and Spidey 2 looked like crap visually. I'm just not going to lie to myself about it or act like this half arsed game development is alright.Â
i hope yo udidn't expect much, movie games are always 1.0's.paullywogChronicles of Riddick, Lord of the Rings series, HAHa not "always".
if you're going to complain about lack of originality in today's games, why dont you just shut the hell up and do something about it? besides, games nowadays play great and provided great entertainment. Oh, boohoo, theres another movie-tie-in game, so what. don't buy it, its that simple.
W/O playing the game I could guess it would suck. I can't remember the last game that was made about a movie that was good.
Spider-man 2 was great. If 3 is more of the same in terms of gameplay, I'm happy. The only thing that worries me is the swinging. The swinging was great in 2, but in USM, the swinging was simplified and wasn't as much fun, nor did it require as much skill. (The reward of getting really good at swinging being the payoff)
When Crackdown came out, I compared it to the Spider-man games, in the sense that the city rooftops are your playground.

I agree. Licensed games almost always suck because the developer spends a majority of the game's budget on acquiring the license which leaves very little cash to develop the game.
That's one of the reasons why in house games such as Ninja Gaiden, Halo, Gears of War, etc are awesome because there is no licensing fee to pay.
but the movie is goin be awesomeGhostRiderMikeActually I read an early review of the movie and I heard it wasn't that good. Of course the action will be sick, but there are too many story lines going on. 3 villains who seem to be completely unrelated, two love interests, maybe 3 if you include that lanky daughter of the landlord. Whatever, I'll still watch it though.
