Its just sitting collecting dust and I have zero desire to play it anymore (thanks to a crummy online community, lack of game modes, and short, repetitive SP). I know I'm not the only one here who feels this way. Show of hands please.
i got too pised off at the insane difficulty, and I was like "why do I still have this game? I've beat it twice already and am halfway through on insane, why not sell it?"Â so i did. but when i did sell it i didn't have xbox live and now that i do i sortof regret it but i got like 36$ for it so i don't really care, cuz i got guitar hero and GRAW 2 in my collection so i have lots to do
you should be able to have head shots from the sniper i mean come on it takes two sniper shots in order to kill the other player
there shouldent be any glitches in the game cause that just is anoying i seen people who do them and they fall under the level and theres no way to kill them which makes the game no fun
besides that i say gears of war is alright im not trading it in though cause most retailers dont give you money just credits which is not cool
yeah alot of people will agree that gears of war has a crappy online community. but gears is one of those keepers cuz you'll eventually want to go back to it. i have around 15 games and most i dont play but i keep them cuz i might want to go back and play them again. so i dont think you should sell it cuz you might be going back to it later on.

What are you talking about? One shot in the head with the Longshot and whoever you shot doesn't even have a head anymore.
the singleplayer was cool, but the multiplayer just wasn't my thing sorry. I will probably trade it in one day, I usually wait till I have a lot to trade in at once

I traded in Gears a long time ago once I beat all the difficulties and got sick of the online play. Only so many times everyone can run for the exact same spot and pickup the exact same weapons before it gets REAL old REAL quick.Â
i love the single player. i wasn't the biggest fan of the multiplayer, but then again it wasn't the actual online gaming that i didn't like. i didn't like that matching system.  but whatever. I'm keeping the game. I love it and still play sometimes.

Totally agree with you. GOW is definitely one of those keepers. I been playing it online coop with my buddy. We were both stationed together and now hes in the east coast and I'm in the west. We still play it from time to time. Good thing to keep us in touch. But yeah its one of those games you go back to.
Haven't traded mine in yet, mainly because it was the first game I got and so it's kind of a collector's item. As far as actually playing the game, it has collected dust since I picked up RB6: Vegas. The multiplayer is way lame, and the SP just gets kind of repetitive.
This game will forever stay in my collection right alongside Halo CE, Ninja Gaiden, and Chonicles of Riddick. Just too good to trade in even if I will never play it again, which is not happenin anytime soon.
Yeah, this is a keeper, along with Viva, and GH2. Yeah, it's a strange combo, but they're all great games. All other games I've just been renting from Blockbuster, as I get a coupon every month for a game for free, so it works out nicely. Probably gonna rent Forza next.

Brought it on a Sat traded it in on the following Monday .... really never enjoyed this game ... call me crazy but it just seemed to be a bit run cover shoot, run cover shoot .... didn't get it ... yep it looked lovely but it just did nothing to me ... saying that i loved Lost Planet so go figure :)
I'm keeping my GeOW, it's just one of those games you MUST have :) even if I haven't played it in a while. But if I were short on cash, I might sell it, but I'm not so :)
I sold mine to my friend for 25 bucks, best choice I ever made! I had fun with gears, but I'm not too much of a multiplayer fan and after the singleplayer it just sat...
I'll just keep my copy for as long as I have my 360, and maybe even as I get the next xbox when that comes out, I dont really play it too much as I'm not overly keen on the MP but it's a game that will always be there to pick up if I get bored.
I've traded Gears in. After playing through the single player, if I'm going to do some online gaming I would much rather play GRAW 2. No doubt Gears Of War is awesome both offline & online, but I get more into GRAW than anything else. Couldn't pass up on the $45 I got for it, and can still pick it up as a rental from time to time.
I have been playing for achievements lately, but to me the online is more about connection and luck than skill, the hit detection is totally bogus, the host advantage is garbage, the fact that there is no client side is just dumb and the community sucks.
Ehh, I probably won't just because trade-ins are ripoffs. They give you $20 and sell it for $55, it's obscene and I won't support that. Maybe I'll sell it to my buddy at $40 or something after I get the co-op achievements, but I really don't have the patience to do the online ones. I just don't like it that much.

I never trade in games...EVER! If I buy a game, it will have a place in my home untill the house burns down. If its one game I was definately gonna trade it, its Dead Rising.
I have had Gears of War for 5 months. Im am still playing online trying to get my last achevement. The ten thousand kills. I am still having fun, and do not plan on getting rid of it.
ya traded taht game in as soon as i was done beating it...good game, but not worth keeping...should have rented it first instead of spending 60 dollars.
whoever made this topic is gay i mean, come on gears of war is so fun online, but thats just my opinion, don't hate on a game just because you suck at it.
