They sent me a new 360, i turned it on, did all the updates, played some geometry wars and Gears of War. and i noticed the picture started flickering and turning blurry, then not blurry, then blurry again. so i turned it off, and turned it back on. all i saw was a bunch of little green dots on the screen, but i heard sound. i heard gears of war starting up, but still just some green dots floating around the screen. i called microsoft and the guy said try to use a friend's A/V cable and see if that fixes it.. my question is, has the A/V cable worked for anyone else? i didn't put this in the sticky because it's not broken, at least i don't think it is
Thats why when my Xbox360 broke I just skipped some christmas presents and bought a new one. Didn't want to go through gettting a broke one over and over again. Microsofts repairs are a joke...
Oh man. Microsoft really needs to get their act together. With games like Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy coming out for PS3 this year AND with Sony's price being equal to Microsoft's now. I am no fanboy. I am just simply looking at the facts. After two years and billions of dollars later Microsoft still is having problems with the "Red Ring of Death.."
ANYWAY, what I do not understand is why they gave you a crappy A/V cable to begin with. I mean you already sent it back to get a new one... How funny they are. I still have to wait another week to get my Xbox 360 back. I will have to let you know if I have the same problem...
so they send you back the same xbox (minus a few changes)? I'm about to send mine out due to the disk drive probably has everything possible wrong with it. Also, do you have to ship it to washington? If so, that sucks cause I live in Maine, ughh
When my first 360 broke it was checkered on the screen and it made a loud noise kinda like dial up then boom rrod. It doesn't sound good for you my friend. Try buying some better cables first and then see how it goes. My last refurbished seems to be running like a champ(they all do until boom they die for me at least) so I hope it's just crappy cables. That would suck to send it right back man MS needs to get the stuff together.
