Do I need to buy the game to play the beta?? or just rent it? I know that you have to put the cd in to play, but I'll just keep renting the game for the entire beta. Or do I have to buy it cause it comes with some sort of cd key of somekind?? Thanks
The Halo 3 beta doesn't need a code. In every copy of Crackdown (even just the disc itself) can access the main menu of the game and download it from the downloads section. So yes, you can rent Crackdown to play the Halo 3 beta.
What code are you referring to? How does the beta with the crackdwon disc work? I was under the impression that there is a feature to download the beta on the crackdown disc without the need for any code.
Chances are who ever rented the game first gets the code.... or your rental store just wont give the code out. Best to buy it. Phantsy16
Naw, that's wrong. From my understanding, there is no code. You pop in the crackdown disc, go to the download section in the main menu, and on the 16th, Halo 3 beta will be there. You download it and then whenever you want to run it, you access it through the crackdown menu. Whoever has the disc when it is released and thereafter can play the betaÂ
